Im so annoyed with them right now! I haven't even been posting as much in there and could care less! I feel like I keep getting the short end of the stick there and It sucks! Everytime I make a post or reply to a post it gets ignored/looked over/bumped down/Etc...Then When they have a DDB sign up I look back on the post and Im on the 1st page saying I wanted to participate. Days go by and I hear nothing. I PM the main girl and she says I never asked and it's to late. WTH? My post Is right there, I dont get it? NOW there doing to Baby shower thing. I made sure I responded right away cause I thought when I did Cambria's it was fun! Well there supposed to open the gifts today and do I have mine? NO!? Her excuse was we ( the other girl and I ) were set up together cause we were moving. OK, REALLY? NO EXCUSE! Although I was moving I managed to go out the day I needed to mail my package spend more then what was required and shipped the sucker out! It got there with in the week!!!! I hate when people sign up for things and then they dont follow through! Sorry I just had to vent, it's very frustrating!!!!

(((HUGS))) That sucks Amy! Your host should go back and give you a DDB since you were signed up!!! That is just crap!! I also hate when people sign up for exchanges and don't participate or don't send out their stuff on time I don't post much in my DDC just because most of the girls have many different views on things than me and I always feel like I am one of the odd ones out so I just don't post!

ugh that is so rude. seriously why did she sign up for it then!? and how rude of her to say you dont get a DDB!! i figured everyone could get one even if you were "late". rude rude rude. I also feel very little connection to the girls in my ddc but i think its just cuz really i dont know them too well.

Ugh, DDC are such a friggin' crapshoot. The DDB thing is complete crap and as for the shower, the least she could have done was let you know you were being assigned someone else who was moving and therefor your gift might be late. It's not hard to take other people's feelings into consideration, most people just don't do it anymore.

I never signed up for the DDB thing b/cc I didn't want to get stuck having to talk to someone I didn't want to, lol. To be honest I don't think you're missing out on much... and if you just want someone to be able to update for you, you know any one of us will do it! With that said a lot of girls weren't around when we did sign-ups or they missed it or whatever, so we just would start a new thread asking if anyone wanted to take on a new or additional buddy... so try that!
The hosts don't have a whole lot of control over when your shower buddy sent her thing out... but it is horirbly rude and inconsiderate of her to do it late! Like Kate said, its easy to take people's feelings into consideration, and its unfortunate that most people just don't now a days.

I never did the DDB thing even when I was really into my DDC with Liam. I never really joined one (or did so briefly) with Loch or Lila. I don't know, I just couldn't get into a new one and there were a few of you ladies in there with me and Heather is the host! Like Shannon, I didn't want to get stuck talking to someone I didn't want to. And frankly I'm not incommunicado long enough for it to be a big deal. I had Lila right before midnight and updated late morning/early afternoon the next day when we got home. I did make some good friends the first time around with Liam but that group disbanded quite a while ago, I still talk to some via facebook though and am currently stalking a couple in the DDCs. lol
I don't think DDCs are all they're cracked up to be. I can see the appeal with your first kid or if you hadn't done it before but I just couldn't care less anymore. Geez, I'm a really Debbie Downer today. lol

Bummer! I was screwed with our first birthday exchange in my PR so I totally understand how inconsiderate that is. Especially cause you took the time to buy a present for someone else. Shame on that host for not recognizing you.
DDC/PRs truly are hit or miss. I love my PR

That is so stupid. Can't she just ask if anyone else wanted to ddb? I'm sure someone who already has a buddy would take on another. AND this isn't your first time getting screwed over on an exchange is it? The person who set up the exchange should have told you it would be late because your person was moving.
I'm kind of looking forward to joining another ddc but I know they don't always turn out so great. It took me a long time to enjoy mine and lately my PR has been so slow it's not that fun anymore.

You don't need a ddc, you have us! That is incredibly annoying though. I would be pretty peeved if I sent someone something in an exchange and they didn't follow through... not cool.

I dont think the DDB thing bother's as much. I am MUCH closer to everyone here and would think it's more personal to have one of you update for me then someone I really dont know. As for the shower thing, I dont even know if she moved or was moving. She emailed me saying she's going through some Family Drama and got an extension on her gift giving. Sorry to sound insensitive but Im a little busy to and I still got it done. I just believe in treat people how you would want to be treated..

I agree, I think it is the appeal of having your first kid.

I agree with the other girls- the host should've stood up for you! DDCs really are fickle, haha. Thankfully I love my PR with Alice. Sometimes groups just do not mesh well together, or it takes awhile.
*HUGS* girl.

Ya not the first time this has happened. Which I made it clear to the girl that Im hesitant on doing a swap cause of what happened last time. She kept saying Ill set you up with someone I know wouldn't do that, etc etc....Cambria's PR Is very slow too. I think as the kiddo's get older thats what happen's.

That sucks! No one in my playroom really checks for me either. Doesn't bother me because I have you guys over here. I'm closer with most of you on this board.
I also didn't do the DDB thing but I had Fiona since we got our BFPs together.
