He has one of those floatie swim suits and we were in the pool. He's worn it for 2yrs (I bought him a new one this year but same style, just different color) and never had a problem. Then last night after we came in he says he has a sun burn, I look and his whole right arm is RAW....like bad. The floaty pad thingy must have rubbed or soemthing but it looks horribly bruised He never said anything at the pool and I never saw anything but it looks like he's been beat in the arm I have no idea what happened or what to do. he doesn't act like it hurts right now, but I'm not gonna let him wear it again!

Aww poor guy! I swear if kids are having fun they can totally ignore something like that. I remember wading around in the bay around San Fransisco looking for sand dollars when I was little. The water was SO cold as it always is there and by the time I was done my legs were turning blue!

It looks lots better now but still red. geesh! I've not let him in the pool today though....and I got him arm floaties instead of that thing from now on.

Ouch, that sounds like its really painful! I'm glad you found him something else instead!

We just got the boys arm floaties today too!

owww that sounds really sore, hopefully its not bugging him at all though and just heals up. yay for water wings!
