So as some of you know, I work in a doctors office. Today a woman came in to bring her mother for an appt and had a newborn with her. She started bfing in the waiting room WITH A COVER.. well my 49 year old single coworker with no children of her own, made a comment about how rude and disgusting it is when people do that. She started rolling her eyes etc.. I whipped out a magazine and went straight for an ad. I asked her what she found more "disgusting" the woman FEEDING her child in the waiting room or the woman in the ad with only a bra and underwear on? She rolled her eyes and said how the waiting room isnt the place. I continued to ask her what was wrong with the woman feeding her child in the most natural way possible!? She decided to just shut up because I wasnt going to let her win!
Ok thats all it just irritated me the rest of the day by thinking about it so I had to share!

OMG! Me, Nikki, and Heather were in a debate the other day on FB with some woman too!  I just dont understand she is FEEDING her child, not flashing her bbs for sexual reasons or something! People dont understand that is what breasts are for! Ugh!

Cycle #1-9 - All Natural....5BFN's, 4BFP's (all ended in miscarriage)  Cycle #10-11 - Met with first RE, diagnosed with heterzygeous MTHFR mutation & slightly low SA on all counts. -BFN, Cycle #12 - First IUI+Trigger - BFN, Cycle #13 - BFN Cycle #14-15 - Met with new RE, diagnosed with a blocked right tube that previous RE completely overlooked or didnt care to mention. Soy (120mg) - BFN Cycle #16 - Clomid (100mg) - BFN, Cycle #17 - Clomid (100mg)+Trigger+IUI - BFN Cycle #18 - Acupuncture+Clomid (100mg) - BFN Cycle #19-27 - 2 Soy (160mg) cycles, the rest all natural also 30lbs lost!! - BFN's Cycle #28 - New RE is GREAT! I just don't understand what is so offensive about feeding a child in public. I agree that it can be a bit weird if the person just has the boob there in the child's mouth with no cover but even then, it's what our boobs were created for. I say, use a cover and feed away!!!

I whip mine out everywhere and I use a cover when there are like a bunch of greasy men around or something, but not everytime. I've only gotten a couple of weird looks but no comments. Good thing too, or I'd put them in their place just like you did!

Good job! I also do not understand what the problem is with that... especially with a cover on! That's what boobs are for... feeding! Glad you stood up for her!

I don't get it either. I've been very lucky and have never even gotten weird looks when NIP. I could understand if a woman had there boob just hanging there once the baby isn't latched anymore or something, but it's not different than a women sitting there with a bottle in her babies mouth. People need to just grow up.
