I usually take my temp at 7:15-7:30. Last night I didn't sleep as well, since my throat hurts. I woke up at 4:30 to pee, then woke up again at 6:15 and decided to just temp then, and it was 97.29. Then, I fell back to sleep and woke up again at 7:45, so I took it again since that is closer to my usual time and it was 97.74. Both times, I got just about the same amount of sleep, obviously no where near the 3 hours I should get, but still a block of solid sleep.
If I use the lower temp, it just makes my chart more up and down, but if I use the higher temp, it seems as though I will get crosshairs tomorrow if it stays high, but I am almost sure I have O'd yet. WWYD?
Also, in my experience, if I get less sleep than usual or I've tossed and turned a lot, my temp usually dips lower rather than higher, so this is strange to me.

I would put in the lower temp ( and make sure you mark that it was taken at 6:15 in your chart) so that it will give you an open circle. I wouldnt use the higher one because it was taken later than your normal time on top of having already gotten up and walking. I never temp after getting up out of bed and then getting back in because it really affects your temp.

I didn't get up and walk around before the 7:45 one, the only time I got up and walked around was at 4:30 or so.
I'll change it to the lower one, though. Thanks!

Ohh, so you had already gotten up and walked to go to the bathroom before both of the temps? I would just discard today then, that changes your temp alot!

Does it really? I get up to pee at like, 4:30 every morning, but usually I can sleep through till 7:30 when I temp.
It sucks, cause I used to sleep all the way through the night until DD woke up in the morning until I started temping, and now for some reason I can't.

If its something that you do EVERY single morning without fail, then thats okay because its constant and you can still rely on your temps because they all have that factor. But if there are some mornings where you dont get up to pee then your chart as a whole isnt gonna be as consistant, do you get what I mean? Im horrible at explaining things!

Yeah, that makes complete sense. I think I'll just leave the lower temp for today and see what happens tomorrow.
Annd, of course, just as I thought, I took my last OPK today and it is ALMOST +, so if I don't get mine in the mail today then I will have no idea whats going on. BOOO!

I think that is exactly what my problem is. I am just so darn excited about it so I start waking up earlier thinking it is time to temp and it's not.

I would screw up my temps so bad because I would wake so many times during the night due to the anxiety of temping! That is a tough one... sorry I'm really no help.

I'd probably just discard the day altogether. I hardly ever got a full night of sleep when I was temping because even after Lochy stopped nursing at night he still would get night terrors and we'd be up with that. Its tough to do when you have extenuating circumstances.
