someone posted a 3 day guide to rebuilding my milk supply - care to share it again? Im pumping like mad and she latches on and gets mad that there isnt a steady flow so its hard to make her BF to bring it back in, KWIM? thanks much

ETA: I can pump about 1/4 oz out of each breast - how long do you think it will take to fully come back in? going to get oatmeal and fenugreek tabs today

She could be hitting a growth spurt also and thats a few days delay before your supply equals her demand. Also the amount you pump is NOT an indicator for how much you make---boobs just know whats baby and whats pump so the pump doesn't get as much. (which makes it OH SO MORE impressive that we have Full time pump moms on here! )

I was curious about that because my breasts feel heavier than normal non BFing breast, KWIM? after I pump and nothing comes out, I squeeze and more milk comes out - so why is she so cranky at the breast? I think I need to throw away the bottles, or chain them up and have her drink solely off me....right? even if she thinks theres nothing there?

If your nipples are ok I would dump the bottles. She has to work harder on the nipples than at the bottles and you some times can cause babies to be lazy suckers because they get used to the easy factor of the bottle. She could be fussy because she has to work for it, or fussy because she is working and not getting it as fast as she is used to from the bottle. If her poops are weird it could be something in your diet also.

her poop is formula poop and it reaks! I got a pump from WIC today so Ill be offering breast first then a bottle of pumped milk (I do have a short supply built up from the first and 2nd week, yay go me!) I got my fenugreek tabs and will make a few batches of tea up here in a few - lets get this BFing show on the road!
