Bedrest is working!!!!

i was starting to notice my contractions were a lot less frequent. I'm starting to have what i think are REAL braxton hicks. They feel completely different than the other contractions i was having. A lot more mild, not as tight, and shorter lived. My belly has shrunk a bit (fudus is higher obviously, but less bloat) and ankles don't swell anymore.

So i go to my appt, and my weight is DOWN! They aren't worried because baby appears to be growing just fine. I had no idea i had that much fluid on board! Also, my BP is down. I wasn't even concerned about it, but apparently my doc took notice, and just didn't say anything. I was 122/77 the week i was hospitalized. At today's appt i was 92/58. WOOT!

Only problem now is i feel like a slug and a wet noodle. My muscles miss the exercise. But of course, having bedrest work means.... more bedrest!

Excellent news! Keep at it girl. It's worth it. I know I had a really sore and stiff back while on bed rest. Are they going to do a recheck cervical u/s at some point?

yes, but more than bored, i feel trapped. I've always been a grazer and would eat based on my whims. The doctor says there will be NO SHOPPING. Dh doesn't have time to go shopping very often, but i have a hard time finding things i want to eat in the house. I just want to run around a store and get what i want myself. DH bless his heart, he means well, but never can find what i want.

And it's a bit lonely. On thursdays, DH goes and helps out at our church's youth group. He was only home half and hour between work and that. I started crying when he had to leave me again. Stupid hormones.

Yay for bedrest working!

I agree with Sarah about the food. I know theres several grocery stores here where you can shop online and then just park in the designated spot and they come load up your car. Your dh wouldn't have to take the time to shop and you get just what you want!
