I'm so stocked!
I found a women who does the courses in Auckland (2.5 hours drive from me), but I didn't want to drive that far for 5 weekends in a row.
I contacted her and asked if she'd consider meeting in the middle... turns out she lives in the town I grew up in and where my parents still live (only 1.5 hours from me!).
After a few emails back and forward, she is going to hold a course with us and one other couple, at her house for two weekends in September, then a two week gap, then another two weekends in October.
I'm so excited! She's going to send me the book once I pay my deposit.

That's awesome! Are you getting the tracks? I never fell asleep faster than when I was listening to those at night, which is awesome when you are super preggo and uncomfortable.

I hope I'm getting the tracks! I've just emailed her back to ask about what I get after I pay the deposit. Will keep you posted.
Alice - I have heard that the course you are doing has more success, but I really wanted to do a course rather than just read the book, hense the reason I'm doing Hypnobirthing. I don't think there are any classes for the Hypnobabies course in New Zealand. Will be interested to hear how you go with it? Are you enjoying it so far?

I'm with ya! A class would be great! They are just sooooo expensive here. The home course was more affordable. I only started two days ago, so i'm a newbie. A lot of it seems silly, but i feel like it does instill a more positive point of view.

Sar - My DF didn't want to do it, because we are also doing Antenatal classes which are costing us money (it's a better course than the free one), so we're spending a lot of money on courses! I just told him that when he has a baby coming out of his vajaja, then he can pick how much money we spend on classes. That shut him up real quick!!
Yay, just heard back from lady - I get a book and CD's when I pay the deposit. Oooo... I wonder what they are?!
Alice - will be following you closely over the next few weeks to see how you like it!

How exciting! My aunt used hypnobabies, I believe, and she loved it. I plan to try something of the sort next time around. I had this idea when I was having DD that I would just have the willpower to get through it, and then the contractions actually started. It's great that you are getting prepared!

That's awesome Tasha!!! I think you're really going to like the course. I took it when I was pregnant with Liam and it was great! I've used hypnobirthing for all three of my natural births and can't imagine doing it any other way!!!
