ok so tropical storms/hurricanes already freak me out not pregnant and now there is one on its way with Louisiana right smack in the middle of the projected path ahhhh.. I am 9 months pregnant and don't want to deal with this.. We won't evacuate if it stays a tropical storm or cat 1, but then I will be afraid of going into labor during the storm... Just please everyone send some good thoughts my way and hope for the best for us!!

What you don't want to be one of those "I gave birth in a tropical storm" people?
I am sure everything will be ok! They are currently forecasting a very weak tropical storm to hit

Maybe it will come my way instead of yours! I'm another one of those storm freaks too.
I totally understand you being nervous though. It should stay weak, but even weak stuff can produce some major rain. Hopefully you won't deal with it much.

Krista is right, it might come hit us! I hope it ends up being a super wimpy storm. I have always hated the idea of being very preggo in the middle of hurricane season for that reason. At least you are term and not one of those women whodelivers prematurely b/c of the storm. I know it still is really crappy and again, hopefully it turns out to be nothing.

Yeah thank goodness they are still forcasting just a tropical storm, they don't even think it will become a hurricane.. The track has shifted more directly over where I live.. DH and I are going stock up on supplies today. I'm sure we will atleast lose power for awhile.. I think the biggest thing we are worried about now is it bringing in more of that oil

I'm hoping it doesn't intensify. I hope nothing happens until it passes or fizzles out.

Im a storm freak too, I would love it! (Minus actual damage and if it got serious and hurt people then of course thats a different story!)
Im so glad it is staying weak though, that would be stressful being 36 weeks pregnant!

Hoping it stays weak and that Adeline stays put until it's over! That would freak me out, too. I love a good storm, as long as I know I can stay indoors safe and sound, and at 36 weeks it's just too unpredictable!

Dh and I are going get supplies tonight incase we lose power.. The storm is supposed to come in late saturday night/early sunday morning.. If I go into labor we'll just drive to the hospital through the storm! My Dr. told me today to be prepared because sometimes the pressure or something from the storms can make you go into labor! It is looking more and more like a weak storm so my nerves have died down a lot now!!!

The projections just keep going further and further east! Maybe it will make it into Mississippi instead and you will be on the weak side. That does suck that it is going straight through the oil spill. Yuck.
