Do you mind telling me which supplements you used when you were TTC? I know you did the soy isoflavones, how much and which days did you take them? What else?

I'm going to try the soy this cycle, not sure what else. Probably some Preseed. Maybe B6?

I did a ton!

Calcium--the whole cycle
Magnesium--whole cycle (I don't remember the dosage though, whatever was on the bottle)
B Complex to get the B6 and B12-- 50mg from af to O then 100mg from O to my BFP (got pregnant the first cycle trying it)
Soy Isoflavones-- 115mg CD 3-7
Prenatal-- whole cycle
Evening Primrose Oil-- 1000mg af to O

I *think* that was it. I found out after the fact that the calcium, magnesium, and B complex sways girl.

I took the soy before bed because it gave me bad headaches and that way I was sleeping through them. Most bottles of soy isoflavones only contain like 23mg of soy isoflavones so check the label to make sure the quantity.

If we decide to TTC another baby in a few years I'll probably add Lydia Pinkham (from af to O) too. The slogan is "a baby in every bottle."

I did exactly the same thing as Jenn last cycle except I didnt use the EPO and I took 120mg Soy CD5-9. I hope it works for you! I definitely recommend (Like Jenn) taking the Soy at night time...I didnt get the headaches but I got seriously INSANE hot flashes, even worse than Clomid hot flashes!

Thanks!

Why did you take the calcium and magnesium? Are they supposed to help with something? (besides sway girl)

Also remind me what you think your "issues" were with getting pregnant? I know you were Bfing. Erratic cycles? Short LP?

Thanks for the help! I am going to try soy, B vitamins, calcium, mag and Preseed for sure. Not sure yet about EPO, I already take fish oil.

I was taking calcium anyway because I needed it and I can't for the life of me remember why magnesium is good too other than it helps your body be as healthy as it can be.

I forgot that I also took vitamin C the whole cycle and an omega-3 fish oil the whole cycle too. I took the EPO from af to O to help increase fertile cm.

I was still breastfeeding Lochy and my cycles were very wacky. I ovulated late--average CD30 and had a too short LP--average 10 days but spotting usually started at 8 or 9 DPO.

I totally credit my pregnancy to the soy and b-complex. Good luck Shannon!!!

I got some B6 and Magnesium today! Already have the calcium and soy.

One more question for you. How much B6 did your B complex have in it? I looked today but got the B6, because the B complex only had 2 mg of B6 in it (which is the one that is supposed to help your LP) and everything I read says do at least 50 mg of B6. So I was thinking that the B complex I found wouldn't do much good.

GL shannon! i took calcium, B6, baby aspirin & prenatals the cycle i got pregnant.

Lydia Pinkhams! ha that is old school! i wrote a paper on black cohosh a few months ago and learned of Pinkham's remedy, i think its from like over a hundred years ago. I know it can be used for menopause, since that's what my paper was on. just make sure you research the herbal ingredients first to determine their pregnancy safety, just bc something is herbal doesnt mean its safe, those are potent herbs in that blend.

I probably took a separate B6 because I know I took 50mg and then upped it to 100 once I O'd. But I didn't like he dosage of B12 we had so thats why I took the B complex too. I wnted the B12 though because thats supposed to help the absorption of the B6 or something like that.

Oh I know! Thats why you're only supposed to take it from af to o. The black cohosh alone is not good for pregnancy because it can cause contrations. And I woudn't take it if I was still nursing either.
