Can we say an awkward afternoon?

I spent the afternoon with my ex husband and his family. And it was his idea and he wanted me to. Odd....very odd.....and very awkward. BUT they were all very nice to me. Shocked to see me LOL and that was absolutely priceless, but they were VERY nice to me. It was his niece, her fiance, and her 1yr old son. He wanted Brayden to get to spend some time with them and I had nothing else to do so I was gonna go drive around until he wanted me to pick him back up. I had been there for about 15mins, met his new great nephew, met his niece for the 2nd time, and her fiance. He asked me if I'd just stay for a while and visit. I was so shocked I stayed to see what the heck was wrong with him LOL!

Definitely awkward but it was nice of him to ask. Did Brayden have a good time?

well he only asked so he wouldn't have to watch him....plain and simple. I talked with exdh's best friend/ housemate today and he was livid with exdh's behavior the last 24hrs concerning Brayden. Brayden did have fun lol

His friend got mad that i had to tell exdh to get up and make Brayden stop. His friend just covered his face, with that look of OMG I can't believe that jerkbag, and shook his head. I looked at me and said he never did a thing when it came to Brayden and he wouldn't even get out of the chair. That he let Brayden run all over the place and go wild and wouldn't make him stop or even go see if he was ok. I guess his friend does all the watching Brayden. I told him I knew exactly what he was talking about because I had lived it for years and I get the blame for a failed "marriage." Seriously you wouldn't believe the crap exdh sends me on yahoo messenger. I should get the private p-word and post some of the messages. I save EVERYTHING because he has actually stooped so low as to threaten suing for custody----insert major eye roll here.

I'm sorry he is being such a PITA. But it is good to hear you guys were able to spend an afternoon with eachother with out any major problems!

oh we only have major problems online now. That is when he gets brave. He wouldn't dare be himself around witnesses. I'm just really happy his friend is seeing everything. When his best friend tells me that he doesn't blame me for leaving and can't understand what took me so long----that speaks volumes!

I'm so sorry you have to deal with him. Just make sure that you don't let his negativity get you down and continue to do what's best for Brayden. Brayden will need all the positive influences he can get.
