Looks like my sister is losing the baby. She started spotting yesterday morning and this morning woke up to heavy bleeding. Her dr. had her go to the er to get blood drawn, u/s, etc and some answers today instead of waiting til monday for her 2nd beta check (which would be tuesday getting the results). I feel so bad for her, she's been wanting a baby for so long and she's just heartbroken right now.

She just got back from the er and her hcg was practically zero. The er dr. had the NERVE to tell her she was never pregnant! She was 5 weeks and had gotten 6 positives on several different brands. When she told him that he told her "Haven't you ever heard of a false positive?" I'm so livid with the way she was treated! I told her not to listen to him because it was bs, she probably passed everything yesterday and this morning and just because she's not pregnant now doesn't mean she never was. I told her people can be so callous and cruel about this but she was pregnant and tragically her baby died and she has every right to be sad and grieve. No one has the right to take that from her.

Its going to be so extra hard for her sil was due the same day. Plus, our brother and sil are due with their first in feb.

I'm so sorry Jenn. Big hugs to your sister. That ER doc was a royal jerk.

I'm so sorry for your sister. I'm sure it made a horrible situation even worse to be treated like that by the ER doctor.

i'm so sorry. that is just SO insensitive of that doctor. i dont know what would possess someone to say that to someone who had just had a miscarriage. its a shame that miscarriage is so taboo, because people dont generally know how truly devatstating and serious it is, though you think a doctor would be educated enough to have some sort of compassion......very sad, sending t&p's to your sister

I am so sorry for your sister's loss. I am sure it is going to be extremely hard for her to see her SIL go through the pregnancy that she should be going through as well. I hope she can find comfort and is able to become pregnant again quickly, if that is what she so desires.

I can't believe how RUDE that Dr was. That's just awful!

I'm so sorry that she's lost the baby. M/C is just so unbelievably devastating. Will they be trying again? Or have they said? I'm so sorry.

Thanks everyone. She and her dh are so heartbroken, I feel so bad for them.

Steph--I would imagine they'll try again right away, I don't see her wanting to take a breakbut she might for a month or so though. She just wants a baby so badly and I don't think she wants to wait anymore. I hope it happens quickly for her.
