What am I doing wrong? Kylie leaks through them every single time, and I have bought all different kinds, and Sara gave me some too, but she leaks through every single one. Even if I put a diaper cover over. I followed the instructions, but she leaks through the top every time she wears one, that's usually how I know she peed. I'm getting really frustrated and discouraged. Help, please tell me what to do.

Are you using natural fibers or synthetic? I found the synthetic were more leak prone for us. Are they to big or to small on her? What are you washing them in? I've have leaks when the diaper was getting too small on Oliver.

I wish I could help but I haven't had many leaking issues. What kind are you using? How often are you changing her?

I will try a bigger size and see if that helps, and I use regular tide, no bleach, no fragrances or anything like that.

And I change her every 2-3 hours, unless she is wet before then. But normally she is dry, then I notice wet spots on her shirt or pants and that's how I know she peed. I have a few brands, fuzzibunz, bumgenius, all the bigger names, and I even started putting a diaper cover on every time to see if it helps. But maybe they are too small, so I will try putting the size up.

Did you wash them several times before using them?

Maybe she is just a heavy wetter and needs something like a hemp doubler?

Are you washing them correctly? If you miss a rinse in there, it will cause buildup and they can't absorb as much pee.

I had nothing but problems with my BG Pocket diapers. They leaked almost every time Oliver work them. I think it was the material of something. I got rid of them after dealing with the leaking. I know tons of people love the pockets but they never worked for me. I had another brand too and it did the same thing.

Are they pocket diapers? When you take out the insert, is it soaked? If it is soaked then that means the diaper is just full and maybe she's a heavy peer or needs to size up. If the insert or diaper is not fairly wet, then it is leaking for some other reason. I had some issues with my BG 3.0 pockets at first. It turns out I was not using enough detergent (though using too much can cause problems too) and the pee was not absorbing into the insert and was causing the diaper to leak.

Thanks for these suggestions. I washed them 5 times before using. I am wondering if the hot wash isn't hot enough, our water loses it's hot so fast. I also do another cold rinse, then another. Although, being a heavy peer makes sense too, as she is soaked after 2-3 hours. I tried double liners today and no leaking, so maybe she just needs extra. I just bought 10 more cloth diapers, so I do not want to give up. I also bought some extra covers tonight, I used a cover this evening and no leaking. Maybe she just needs the extra protection. I will also try more detergent, I normally don't use a lot because I don't have a large wash of them. I will let you know if the suggestions work.

Sounds like she just needs some extra absorbancy! Glad you got through today with no leaks, the troubleshooting can be annoying when you keep having to change clothes.

YES, I was already exhausted today, just put laundry away and was pulling my hair out going through so many outfits! But hopefully it gets better now.
