Hey Ladies,
I'm popping in for a small update. I've been on and off, sorta lurking. Things in my life are beginning to look up. The only thing I'm having trouble with is my parents are pressuring me to register Edward for public school even though I plan and have been planning to homeschool. They're 100% against it, which is fine and I respect that, but they need to respect that this is my choice to make for my children. I sorta lied and said that I was going to register him even though I had NO intention of doing so, but I did it to get them off my back for a bit. I have begun to register him for a homeschooling program that is through the school district but without the distractions of other children and whatever else. I wanted a Christian based curriculum, but at this stage of the game, we can't yet afford that. But next year will be better.
Preston is getting super excited about being a big brother. He'll come and put his hand on my belly and feel Mason move and he get really excited! He'll laugh and go "ooh!" Edward doesn't like it, I think it freaks him out. He doesn't like to feel Mason kick. Preston is all about it and he'll point to my belly and say "Baby" so I think he's starting to get it.
I went to the doctor last week and asked about the VBAC again. I actually asked him what he honestly felt my biggest risk was and why, and he couldn't answer either question. So I said "Since you cannot give me a straight answer as to what and/or why you feel this is a risk for me, can you tell me is there any reason why I can't give it a good college try?" And I went on to say all the facts I know about uterine rupture and what I know about uterine rupture pertaining to my particular case (i.e. 2 previous c-sections and a bicornuate uterus) and that the risk is still quite low. He did say that I would still have a chance of uterine rupture if Mason's head did not drop below the incision site and it would cause too much pressure on the incision itself, forcing it to open. I don't know if I totally believe that, but I told him that I just wanted to try, and so he put the VBA2C option back on the table.
As far as Chris and I go, we still have our little spats which I'm 100% sure are due to my emotional and hormonal state. Since taking my break from the online world, we have gotten closer. So I think the strain we were experiencing was due to my lack of interest in our marriage and relationship. So at night, we play games together and talk. We've had more discussions about the things that need to be done by both of us. He has even helped me clean the house when I don't feel good or tired from the pregnancy. And that has helped a lot in our relationship too!
I'll be on from time to time. I'm going to start making whole grain breads and all of our meals from scratch, so I'll be on during my recipe searches and going to two blogs that I read on a regular basis that have the resources I'm looking for, so when I'm doing my recipe searches, I'll pop on from time to time. And to lurk on the cloth diapering board as well!

I'm glad to hear things are going well for you, especially with Chris and your pregnancy. That sounds like quite a turn around from where it was. Now if we can just get the parents to stop bugging you life would be grand.

I'm happy to hear from you. Glad that you and Chris are growing closer together and putting your marriage in the forefront. That's important and will benefit the whole family. And I'm glad it looks like you'll get a chance for a VBA2C! Sorry your parents are giving you a hard time about homeschooling... but they made their parenting choices and now its time for you to make yours.
