The lot is CLEAR! The dozer guy is gonna get started this week cutting the house seat. All of this should have been done back in the fall but the weather and lack of manpower held me up. Anyway, it's done now! The contruction crews will most likely get started on the foundation next week!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I gotta decide the "important" stuff.

1.) what color siding/shutters/metal roof would you choose?

2.) What color kitchen cabinet----my counter top is a creamy color venetian stone tile, same as exdh's house?

3.) What about carpet/vinyl? I already know what I want in terms of hardwood. But to save a little I'd like to just do vinyl in the bathrooms and laundry room. Or would tile cost about the same ya think?

4.) Do you have cabinets in your laundry room? How many?

5.) corner shower or 4' walk in? I had a 5' walk in at ex-dh's but it just seemed a bit too large.

And what about overall colors? I have a rusty orange color couch (love it) and my aunt has given me a new living room set that is like new but has a floral thing to it in blue. OR if my mom chooses to get a new living room set I'll get hers in a taupe/tan microfiber sectional that has been sat on MAYBE 3 times. Brayden's room will be a thomas theme.

and pics are always appreciated lol. When I finish cleaning some and fix B something to eat I'll try and post some pics of what I've been thinking about

Can you give us options for paint colors, siding, shutters, and flooring etc etc?

Ok I was thinking something like maybe a linen siding----not white but more of a creamy color, with white trim and green shutters/roof. OR That same linen with a blue shutter but then I'm lost on the roof. OR that same same linen with a tan or brownish shutter but again lost on the roof color unless I went with Brown. Vienna mentioned sage too. I'd kinda like the off white silky siding since if I wanted a change I could just change up the shutters. i'll also have a porch too with wooden banisters and railings that I would need to paint.....or would stain be better?

I always liked the lighter siding colors with the darker trim/shutter colors. If you go with something like that -- a roof in a really dark color (maybe a tad lighter than black) looks nice. Check out other houses for sale and see what kinda colors they have and see what you like! I LOVE the country looking homes with ivory siding and then the green trim/shutters, with the realllllly dark brown roof. If I was getting home before dark, I would take a picture of my favorite house in my neighborhood, but alas, i am not tonight.

As for the cabinets, what about a walnut color? And TALL cabinets! I love that look with the corner cabinet with the glass on the front instead of a door! mmmmm

Our house has an off white really light siding and I don't like it! The dirt shows up too much! Our neighbors have more of a tan siding and I like that so much better!!!

I would go with a more brown color cabinet maybe like a medium color not too dark and not too light to go with the creamy color tile..

Carpet just go with a neutral color, you can't go wrong with that.. I don't know much about the pricing between vinyl and tile, but I do love my ceramic tile a lot!!

No cabinets in our laundry room, we just have some shelves.

I like walkin showers better!

Sam: That was the way my cabinets were at ex-dh's. And a 42" tall corner cabinet with class door. I do plan on doing that again. I'm feeling quite sick this evening, but I'll try to get those pics tomorrow.
