We have been dealing with *something* since Sunday and we have no idea what and the pediatrician can only offer us her guesses. We ruled out an ear infection and strep.

He has had a high fever (101-103) since Sunday afternoon. He kinda eats but not really. He is drinking bottles and juice though.

The ped thinks maybe we are dealing with roseola since he has zero anything else however, this morning he got SUPER congested. Not sure if that was from crying so much last night (he cried so much he threw up bile -- twice). She said when the fever breaks we should look out for a rash.

We also know he is teething as all this is going on -- he is chomping on his pacifier and putting HOLES in it. Stupid molars.

My poor baby is so miserable. He is constantly being fed motrin and tylenol however this morning we decided to cut back on them because we think it is upsetting his stomach (he has been tooting like no other).

*sigh*

Why can't I have a healthy kid?

Oh geez I'm sorry Hope he feels better soon! Rylie's sneezing and has a runny nose right now but it could be the high pollen in our area or even teething. As horrible as it sounds, I'm glad she's feeling pretty chill today LoL.

Aww.

We just had J.J get some STAT blood work (He was more upset about being held down). We are doing a CBC, and blood culture so we can find out if we are dealing with bacterial or viral. If viral, she said its gonna be roseola most likely. If bacterial she wants a urine collection (test for UTI) and chest x-ray (possible pneumonia even though he is not coughing).

More poor miserable baby.

And my poor miserable husband! I leave tomorrow for 4 days on my mommycation.

Well, his blood results are back!

his CBC is normal however his neutrophils are slightly elevated (not much) and his monocytes are high indicative of a...

Viral Infection!

The doctor is more sure now then ever we are most likely dealing with roseola.

Poor little guy. He just can't catch a break can he?

Maybe he will have a really good immune system when he gets older after everything he has been through now. They will need kryptonite to bring him down.
