I know its normal for AF to be MIA for a long time, and then be irregular too.
I'm wondering, when did you get your first PP AF? And do you remember how long it was between your first one and your second one?
---
The reason I ask is b/c stupid AF came (even though I was EBFing! ) and now she "should" be back based off my previous normal cycle length, and she's MIA. I'm not worried about being pregnant or anything, since I don't think I've ovulated... but I'm just curious because I'd rather know when she could show up while I'm out and about, ya know? It would be great if this stupid AF was a one time fluke and she stayed away for the next year! So yeah, BFing mamas... what has your cycles been like?

I do not remember when I got my first one but I do remember after that one I didn't get them back regularly until Landen was 14 months old.

Hmmm, trying to remember. I nursed Cambria till she was almost 9 months. Then I think It was 3 months after that that I got AF back. I never went back on the pill so they were all abnormal ones.

AF came back at 5 months PP. Very irregular. I only had bleeding for 1.5 days and then it was something crazy like 7 wks until the next one. I went back on bcp's shortly after because I felt I couldn't successfully avoid with such crazy AF's.

My first one was when Oliver was 9 months old. I just looked on FF and my first cycle was 25 days, then 35 days, then 29, then 41! They have been all over the place since having Oliver. Usually then go from 20 some days to 30 some days the following cycle. My cycles are different since having him. I think I ovulate later in them and my LP is shorter than before.

Can't really count Liam because I got pregnant before my first AF--he was 10 1/2 months old when I got pregnant though.
With Lochy my first was when he was 13 1/2 months. They were very long and irregular cycles--most cycles lasted beyond 40 days.
I always ovulate before my first pp AF so don't count that out!
For me, my cycles don't resume until I'm nursing a lot less, like around 4 times a day so it'll be a while before it comes back again.

I think mine came back around 5 months PP and was immediately regular, just like before I got pregnant. A lot of women in my PR had very irregular AFs their first several back (BFing moms)

With Gabriella I got mine back when she was 9-10 months old but I got pregnant pretty much right away so I don't really know how regular I would've been.
I just got my period back with Cambria- she was only a month old. So I am definitely curious as to what it will be like.

Osric is 8 months and I did have a partial AF a few months ago but nothing since. I'm not rushing for AF to return any time soon. LOL.

Mine showed up early, about 2 months pp. Then it was a bit wacky for a bit but I think that was because of the mini pill. Once I decided not to take it anymore, things started to regulate and return to normal.

I got my first PPAF at 12 1/2 months PP, my next came 33 days later and this one is right on track to be a 28-29 day cycle, so *knock on wood*, but it looks as thought I went right back to being very regular.

I didn't get mine till 11 months and then it was pretty much regular right away, like about a month later I got it again.
But I had a LLL leader tell me that the later AF waits to come back, the faster you get back to regular. So since AF showed up sooner for you, it's more likely to be irregular.

I'm still BF at 8.5 months, though not EBF anymore, and I haven't seen a spot of blood at all since the normal post-birth bleeding.
