Thanks for thinking of me! My doula is coming over at 11:30 so I'll be able to write a real birth story once I get her notes. I'm really fuzzy on a lot of the birth. I didn't realize how crazy the mag is until after I was unhooked and trying to function! We're also going for newborn/family pics this afternoon so I'll have some good pictures to put up soon!
We're still breastfeeding with some supplementing mostly because Shane refuses to wake me up to feed her every time she's hungry. Ash had lost 5 oz at her first pedi appointment. I *think* she's gained it back. We go to the pedi again tomorrow so I'm praying she's over birth weight now. She loves to eat when she's awake but when she sleeps she's out cold. There's no waking her up to eat. You can change her, tickle her feet, burp her, hold her in front of the air conditioner.... Nothing wakes that kid up! It's nice because I can get 4-6 hours of sleep at a time but I'm really afraid that she's not eating enough even though she cluster feeds the whole time she's awake. She loves car rides, her big sister and her daddy. We're not allowed to set her down! She HAS to be held ALL of the time. She hates her swing and her bouncer but loves her Moby. Gemma loves to hold her and sing to her. Shane has been really good about giving me breaks and taking her for periods of time throughout the day. Ash likes his stubble for some reason and she'll sit there and just bat him in the face over and over again until she falls back asleep.
We're still cloth diapering and that's going great. I can't wait until her stump falls off so we can start using the regular diapers instead of the newborn diapers. I love the lil joeys but she's almost too big for them on the inside snaps and too small for them on the outside snaps so we get major leaks if she does a super pee. I adore her KL0's but I just don't have enough of them. I should have invested in more of those!
That's really about it. We've just been busy visiting and being visited and keeping up with all those appointments you have in the first couple weeks. I'm really looking forward to Gemma starting school in a couple weeks so I can have some quiet time during the day. Shane goes back to work tonight so the next two weeks are probably going to be crazy for me!
