Today, we have started Edward's homeschooling! I was going to make my own curriculum, but I'm not as brave as Lisa! I got really overwhelmed and stressed out. Chris was talking to a co-worker of his about our plan to homeschool and he told Chris about a K12 program...so we are on their Virtual Academy. We've had a rough start since their server is down and we can't start his math course....we'll, we started it, but now we can't finish it. And we're still waiting on his printer and all the rest of his course material. He's extremely excited, as am I, but I'm really sad too. All of a sudden, my baby is 5 years old and he's starting kindergarten today! But I think he's going to LOVE it! I just wanted to share my sadness and excitement!

I can't believe he's such a big boy already!

I hope you'll post more about homeschooling, I think it's very interesting though I don't think I'd be good at it myself.

Yay! It's exciting that today is his first day. It's sad he is already 5 but at least you get him at home with you for the time!

I've been researching HS a lot lately. I'm considering The Christopherus Curriculum which is Waldorf based but I still need to read more about it. I'm looking for curriculum that isn't religious. I've looked at a few different online programs but I don't really want him on the computer a lot. Have you heard of Time 4 Learning? It's an online program and I've read good reviews on it. It's only $19.99 per month and there isn't a contract. There was another online one that was free and similair to Time 4 Learning but I didn't book mark that one.

Anyways.. I'm excited to hear how it goes. Right now it's HS for us or maybe Montessori but that is only with me working and being able to afford tuition. I'm not sure that will happen with another child to consider. I'd rather HS but I worry how well I'll do with it.

I know, my jaw dropped when I realized that Edward is 5!!! I remember him as a little toddler You'll do great! How did the rest of the day end up going? I don't know how you do it with a toddler running around. I can barely make lunch with Reid always interfering. haha.

I can't believe he's 5 How exciting that it's the first day though! I got my curriculum from online, the only one I made up was the Bible one that we'll do and it's VERY simple. Once she hits kindergarten I'll be buying curriculum (Abeka). We start in 13 days, EEK! Make sure you keep us posted on how it goes! You know I'll be making posts to you about it
