PCOS! Apparently my gyno thought I already knew so when I called the office and threw a minor hissy fit the nurse said the doctor looked and her and said, "She didn't know?!" I remember the conversation now but I thought he just said it was a possibility. So now I know what is wrong with me

It's good you finally have some answers. Hopefully now you can work on a plan of action to work with it.

It was rather funny. I called the nurse because they had me go to the REI don't want to ttc right this very second for obvious reasons....change of mind there. But anyway my dr wasn't informed that I had gone to the RE based on the nurse's suggestion. he jsut thought I went because i didn't agree with him. So I told the nurse today that I didn't want to get pg right now I wanted to know what the heck was going on. I told her for the last 2 1/2 years my af's have been crazy and unreliable, I've packed on 40 pounds of weight, feel tired and fatigued all the time, and my bp has gone way up. I said the only reason I went to the other dr was to get tested for PCOS or whatever else could be the problem. So then she tells my dr this and asks if I'm to take the 10mg provera for 10 days, and then she just point blank asked him if I had been tested for PCOS and if I had it. He said I had been tested a long time ago and yes I did. (U/S, labs, exam....I always have roughly 4-5 cysts at any time) I remember him saying a year and half ago that it could be pcos causing the problems, I remember getting labs done, and of course I remember all the u/s's. I just don't think a "you have pcos" conversation ever took place. But that's why he wasn't doing any more tests to discover WHY all this was happening. Talk about a break down in communication! So the nurse googled the info for me lol and gave me a bunch of internet links. And I have a standing order for provera each month if my period doesn't start on it's own. The other option was BCP, but I can't due to my blood pressure.
