I knew it was coming, I fail the 1 hour EVERY.SINGLE.PREGNANCY I hate the way the 3 hour one makes me feel, yuck! They are concerned this time, however, because I failed it BADLY. I didn't have to fast but I did to try and improve the outcome and it was still really bad. They said I was almost in the 160s, YIKES! I've never failed it that badly before. She also said that my blood pressure, according to the hospital when I got my Rhogam shot, is still elevated and she's not happy. She said "avoid stressful situations as much as possible and rest"... ok sure, I'll get right on that... "Taylor, Rylie: would you please either move out or be still, silent, and have no needs until mommy delivers? K thanks"... LoL! I told her it may have been due to me worrying about the shot, I mean they aren't fun, so I wasn't looking forward to it that's for sure. Anyway, this Tuesday morning I'll take the 3 hour test and then go to get more fillings in the afternoon... oh fun

Sorry you failed the 1 hour. Hopefully the 3-hour one will be successful. I hated the 3 hour one too. The drink was nasty!

Means she has to take a 3hr blood test. Generally fasting for 12 hrs, then they do an inital draw to get a baseline Blood Sugar, then you drink the nasty drink, and an hour later they take blood, an then an hour after that they take more then the 3rd hr they do the last draw. The 3 hr sucks! I refused it after I failed with Kieran cause I knew I had GD again, I failed with Kieran at a 150 something(and I'd only had a snack that day no real food) for the 1hr draw.
I hope your's comes back normal and it was just something you ate a couple hours before that was still in your system.

I hope you pass the one hour one. I was the opposite. I had eaten a whole bag of hersheys kisses for breakfast and barely passed on the low end.

Then I'm considered diabetic until I deliver and I have to follow a special diet and possibly prick my finger to check blood sugar and take insulin shots. It just depends on how severe it is. My sister has been a diabetic since she was 6 so thankfully I'd have her for support but I hope I won't need it

Hopefully you wont need it! The diet isn't so bad though and alot of Gestational Diabetics' can control with diet and exercise alone. I was one of the unlucky ones that couldnt', with Seamus I did insulin injections in my belly and with Kieran I took a pill. Had to prick my finger 4x's a day, I've herd others that only have to check their sugars 1-2x's a day.

I had to do the three hour too. Tuesday doesn't sound like it is going to be a good day for you, you poor thing! Hopefully you pass without a problem.
