Day 5 of the provera and I still haven't stopped. It's pushing a month now that AF has been here. She must like the view or something.

Oh my goodness! Fingers crossed that AF goes away soon. What is the next step if the provera doesn't work?

I know exactly how you feel...I've been having AF issues since May 2009 she will stay for 3-4weeks(it was more before the Paragard was removed at times) even on B/c she stays for 3-4weeks

i hope your doctor can figure it out for you

Hmm I thought provera was supposed to bring on AF? Have you tried just going off the provera? I think our bodies can generally sort themselves out if we treat them well....i regretted taking provera when i did.

I'm so sorry. I can only imagine how frustrating this is. Whe I was on the mini-pill after pp, I experience somthing similar and it nearly drove me insane. It's a hassle to have to deal with for roughly a week every month but geesh, a whole month...ugh!! I really, really, hope she goes away soon.

The provera does both. If no Af then it will start you by building up the lining then the withdraw from it triggers the release. It will stop you by tricking your body into thinking you are pg and basically it acts like a reset button. My body was getting wrose instead of fixing. I was bleeding so bad I couldn't stand up without having to change. Now I'm getting the provera cramps. this is starting to suck majorly. I'm about 1 package of pads away from insanity.

Im in the same boat! AF was here for 4 1/2 weeks. Today is day 4 of the Provera for me and it just went away. My dr gave me a 14 day supply of 10mg and told me it could take up to 7 days for AF to disappear! Good luck!
