Hi girls,
Dominic turned 9 months old on the 24th. It is hard to believe that in less than 3 months he will have his first birthday! You always hear that they grow up fast, but holy crimony!
He has 4 teeth across the top and 3 on the bottom! He began hobble-crawling about a month ago where he'd move around using one foot and one knee, kind of gimpy, lol. We called it his "Quasimodo" crawl. He has gotten the hang of the all-fours crawl now and is onto pulling himself up on furniture and the slats of his crib. I replaced my old, glass coffee table with a brand new one that has padded leather on the top. No corners! Baby proofing is ongoing because he is always finding some new thing that I haven't noticed yet... a cord, or something hanging off a shelf that he wants to pull on. It's all supervision all the time now...
At his doctor visit this week, he was 65th percentile for height, but only 18th for weight. Doctor thinks he probably lost weight when he started crawling, because they burn more calories a day that way. Or could be he had a height growth spurt (though he has always been on the longer side). We are adding in a 3rd "meal" at lunchtime and upping the amounts served at each meal. He never seemed hungry, and I don't personally think he looks skinny or anything, but I want to fatten him up by a pound or two so his weight matches his height better.
Here are some recent pics of my rapidly growing little guy:
Think he's got enough toys?
He got my wavy hair, along with everything else:
This day he fell asleep with his arm behind his head and it reminded me so much of a teenager or something, I had to take a pic:
I'm pretty sure he's keeping these baby blues. Neither I nor his father have blue eyes, in fact only my grandmother and his grandfather have them, so we must have both carried a hidden recessive gene for them:
At London's 1st birthday party:
He wanted to be part of the present-opening action:
It's a London-monster!!
Ready to go home, lol:
