I have been a bit MIA with everything going on here, but will probably start getting more active soon.

I quit my new job this morning. It was horrible, and we didn't figure in the cost of my commute and extra food for lunches, so we decided that financially, it wasn't worth it for me to leave DD for 7-8 hours a day. It's been really hard, DD has become really angry, not affectionate at all. She screams at us, she kicks, she hits and is just not adjusting to having me away. DH has gone on a day shift, so he is home by 2 PM and will be working overtime to make up for what we'll be losing by me quitting. That and we had MIL watching DD and the first day I went to pick her up, MIL was giving her bacon and cottage cheese (which she knows DD doesn't like because she has tried to give it to her multiple times with know success) and sent home all of the healthy snacks we had sent with her, and the next day when I arrived, DD was in the living room, which is not childproofed, by herself. Nobody could even see her from where they all were. I was getting angry at MIL, which in turn made DH and my relationship strained and all in all, this job was just causing more problems than it was worth. We decided it is best for me to stay home and just get everything all taken care of so I can get my daycare license, and then I can earn an income while staying home with DD.

As far as TTC goes, I am on CD 9 and just got an almost + OPK. Judging by my other cycles, it should be + by tomorrow which would put me as Oing on CD 12. That seems early to me? But, we'll just see what happens.

I hope all you ladies are doing well, and I can't wait to get caught back up a bit!

I'm sorry to hear that the job didn't work out and that MIL was being so horrible in watching your daughter. For us it makes more sense for James to put in a couple extra hours a day then for me to get a part time job and pay for all the extra costs that go with it. James works from 8 - 6:30, 7:00 and always gets stats and weekends off.. very flexible schedule and an awesome boss. I hope you guys can work something out. Sounds like working towards your day care licence is a great option!

It sounds like it's for the best. I watch a couple LO's PT in order to stay at home and it's sooo worth it. It can be hard at times but nothing is better than being with my boy each day. It brings in a decent amount of money to help cover bills too.

It seems like you have made the right decision. Sorry the job didn't work out and that you MIL was not committed enough to watch your DH properly. I hope that things settle back in to the normal routine in a few days/weeks.
