So i've been whining about back pain and pain down below, and wanting to be done with this pregnancy thing.... turns out it had nothing to do with being pregnant.
I woke up with morning unable to pee. I had some pain down below and was wondering if i had a uti. I drank some water and went back to bed. When i woke up i was swollen and still couldn't pee. and the pain was worse. I walked around a bit, drank more water and was finally able to pee a tiny bit of dark urine. I wiped, and there on the toilet tissue was one of the HUGEST kidney stones i had ever seen. (Only my sister has me beat)
I have a history of kidney stones, but the last time i had one, i was at work, and they made me go down to emergency. Some doc thought i needed dilaudid, so i never felt it pass. So at least now i know what i'm dealing with. The strange thing is, i've felt this sensation before and noticed "sand" on the toilet paper... but didn't connect the two. I'm not sure what to do. I already avoid calcium and drink over a gallon a day. That's the only treatment my doctor reccomended when i told her about it today.
Oh well. At least it didn't hurt that bad.

Ouch !!!! My doctor had me avoid calcium and red meat and also I had to walk around on all fours to relive the pressure on my kidney lol I looked stupid but it did help with the back pain.

Ouch! At least you passed it on your own though. Hopefully you won't have to deal with that anymore!

lol, if you had asked sooner you could have. i kept it for a while. Then i showed DH and dropped it on him by accident. He freaked out and jumped up and it flew... and now its gone lol.
I bet this has something to do with my pregnancy cravings. I crave anything dairy. Pudding, cheesecake, cheese, yogurt, ceral with milk, whipped cream. Ugh... what am i going to do?! No more rolaids thats for sure.

Alice, if you passed a kidney stone without even realizing it, you've got this natural childbirth IN THE BAG!!!!

I get them too. First one I got I was 4wks PP! Trust me, child birth is easier! At least I thought so. The pain wasn't that bad, just that whole can't pee thing. There's a med that can give to dilate your ureter or even a stint can be placed too.

Oh wow. Crazy! I've never had them but I hear it's super duper painful. I'd rather pass a baby, cuter in pictures i'm sure hahaha.
So are you free of pain then?? Not to sure how that works, but like do you have no more back pain then?
