I've heard that it ripens the cervix and tones the uterus. Has anyone drank the stuff before? Did it do anything that you know of?

It tasted like cardboard to me so I didn't get through more than 2 cups of it, haha.

I drank it. At least a couple boxes. I don't know if it did anything.

I drank it while TTC. Tasted like nothing... so never got past the first cup or two. It's supposedly good for strengthening the uterus for labor.

Evening primrose oil is supposedly good for priming the cervix too. You can take a 500mg capsule twice a day starting at 34 weeks.

Course i have no idea if this works or not.

i took red rasp leaf tea during my m/c, i am not sure if it did anything but it was kinda soothing with a bunch of honey in it! Evening primrose oil was VERY potent for me and the day after i applied it to my cervix i miscarried (the desired effect).

RRLT I did a tincture of it and other herbs from 34 weeks on.
I also did EPO orally and vaginally.... I DO think that helped!

Ok thanks! My midwife said to start drinking one cup a day now and by 36 weeks up it to 2-3 cups. I had my first cup last night and it really doesn't taste like anything, you all are right When should I start taking EPO? I'd really like my body to be as ready as possible considering I'll most likely be induced in my 39th week. If I can get things going before then (not before 37 weeks), than that's even better

I would start EPO now also. Poke a small hole in the pill and shove it up by the cervix and then go to bed

Maybe wait until 36 weeks to use the EPO vaginally? but start orally right away? i feel like it was really potent when put right on the cervix.....i'm just being cautious though...who knows i may have m/c that day without the EPO, but it was like i put it in before bed and m/c in a huge way the next am.
