Ok so since the midwives and OB are talking induction in my 39th week, Andy and I are trying to pin down days we like (unless he comes sooner but I highly doubt it LoL). My 39th week begins on October 28th and ends November 3rd. We've been considering the 30th, 31st, and the 1st. Taylor was born in October so that would make 2 October babies if we chose the 30th or 31st. Would you hate having your birthday on Halloween? If it were up to you, what would you do?

I think I'd rather not have a birthday on Halloween. Just because then I could have two fun days close together but not on the same day.

Chris' birthday is in fact on October 31st.. so I asked him. He said he has always LOVED having his birthday on Halloween! He said "Who else gets to dress up on their birthday!?" He loved the fact that he got candy AND cake. hahaha so there you go, from a guy with a halloween birthday first hand! lol His mother still (almost 26 years later) calls him her "little pumpkin" HAHAHA

I would HATE it personally. Halloween is my favorite holiday! I hate that my birthday is a month after Christmas.... because people try to do "combo" parties and gifts and it makes your day less special. I was always jealous my brother got a BIRTHDAY party and birthday gifts.... were I many times gots "well this is your chirstmas and birthday gift"

plus it "eats" up one of your "slacker" days LOL

Thanks for the input I think Andy and I are leaning toward November 1st so he'll have his own birth month (unless he comes on his own or the midwife says a different day that would be easier for her for whatever reason) and I really want to see my girls trick or treat and get them dressed so I want to be home for that. Plus all the walking might help some... who knows

My hubby's bday is oct 28th. We've had some pretty fun party weekends together during his b-day. When we were dating we had a huge party at his apartment for his birthday, and the next night went to a halloween party lol. I never went home, just stayed iwth him the whole weekend.

My friend growing up had a Halloween birthday and it was always a blast! She would have an early party (like early in the day, not early in the month) and then we'd celebrate her birthday with cake/ice cream/presents. Afterwards we'd go trick or treating and then we'd come back to her house and watch scary movies and have a sleep over. I always thought her birthdays were way better than mine! (I'm 2 days after Christmas).

As another thought, do you really want to get up at 3 or 4 AM like you have to for most inductions the day after you stay up late chasing your girls and trick or treating? I'd be afraid to do Nov. 1 because you're body might be worn out from the day before. Just my $0.02.

I love all the stories, stuff to think about Well the last two times I was induced I had to be at the hospital at 7:30 AM so I won't be up in the middle of the night *IF* it's the same way. I guess as we get closer I'll have to talk to them about what time they'd want to do it. I know trick or treating around here is from 5-6 or 5-7 so they'd still be in bed by 8:30 as usual. I appreciate all the input

I wouldn't want a holiday bday no matter what holiday(and my bday (and Kieran's every few) can be on Easter every 20 or 30 years lol). My mom was born Nov. 1st, and she likes but being the day after Halloween people are worn out at times.
