We are fine! We are in the north part of the north island so didn't even feel it.

We are constantly told NZ will be hit by a big earthquake one day as the whole country sits on fault lines... But the fact it has actually happened in my life time is pretty scarey. All my Christchurch mates are ok. In fact, no one has lost their lives in this quake - which is unreal. There is just a lot of damage to homes, streets, water pipes etc. There is still huge after shocks hitting the region which is still destroying even more properties. Feels very strange watching it on TV and thinking this is happening in my little country!
