For the first time ever I enjoyed bfing. All weekend actually. I was finally able to stop "getting in position" and just relax, cradle and snuggle my baby, and bf in whatever position I wanted. I don't know why, it just suddenly clicked for us. I've seen pics of other women bfing just laying back without having their baby in some sort of specific bfing hold wondering "how do they do that without tearing up their nipples??!" And I guess since I have relaxed so has Charlotte because she started gazing and grinning at me while bfing this weekend! I love that girl. I'm just amazed that this has finally clicked for us. I really never thought that would happen. I don't know if it was just a matter of her getting to a certain size or what, but it is awesome.

Oh and a question... Charlotte never used to spit up. Ever. Now all the sudden she is spitting up several times a day. Anyone know if that is normal? There hasn't been any increase in the amount of milk she is getting, I don't know what it is.

YAY! I did it for nearly 3yrs and never made it to the point I enjoyed it LOL! So glad you have!

Has your diet changed? And it could be a case of reflux. Try keeping her upright for 30-45minutes after feeding. OR is she getting bounced around more or playing more? that could do it to Or teething....Brady used to spit up more with teething.

DH swears she is teething but I disagree. I still think it is too early and am honestly not looking forward to bfing with teeth. Sounds dangerous to me.

No I don't think my diet has really changed. And she isn't upset or in pain or anything when she spits up... I dunno!

I noticed that my kids went through phases where they seemed to spit up more than other times. If she doesn't seem uncomfy, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just make sure you're getting 2-3 good burps out of her and try keeping her upright for ten minutes or so post-feeding. As for the teeth, I hate to tell ya buuuuut... Lily cut her first two teeth a week shy of four months!

yay!!! i'm so happy for you and ur little girl
payne still spits up pretty often, though he was/is bottle fed. i've been told that you dont need to burp BF babies (because they dont get any air from ur boob), but if you are bottle feeding her it could def be that and she'd def need a burp after that.
