Some girl on my FB page just posted a picture of her holding her six month old son in the front seat of a moving vehicle with her. Her caption was "riding up front with momma" I asked her if the car was moving and she said that it was but only 4 houses down where they lived, so I asked her if she knew that that was child endangerment and she said "what I do is none of your business." and removed me as a friend.
I don't care that she removed me, I didn't really know her and don't want to associate with people who think of their children as fun little toys that they can put in harms way whenever they want if it makes a cute picture.
I am just disgusted at how little some people care about their children. I couldn't imagine knowingly placing Lorena in a dangerous situation because it sounds fun to me and would look cool when I post about it on FB. And, big surprise, but she's only 19 or 20. I hate when girls like her make young mothers like me look bad. SHe is the reason why there are stereotypes against young mothers.

Ugh I hate stuff like that... or people that think its cute and funny to take a picture with their baby holding a beer... and then they wonder what's wrong with their kids when they are 8 and acting like they are 18.

I know what you mean about the young moms. I was 19 when I was pregnant (20 when I delivered) Taylor and I got a ton of comments. Now that I'm 23 and on my 3rd kid (which STILL shocks people because I look so young to have so many LoL) and people have seen I KNOW how to parent and I'm not some wild young mom, I'm given respect LoL.

I hate when people are so reckless but let me tell you, you could not live here.
There is no law that stipulates that a child must be in a car seat, only that the child under a certain age cannot ride in the front seat, accompanied or unaccompanied.
Even though there's a seatbelt law that all seat belts (front and back) should be fasten when driving, many parents here drive with their kids standing in the back between the seats, with kids leaning through to the front, with their kids standing in the passenger seat, and the list goes on. No one enforces the law and I've never seen or heard of anyone being charged or getting in to trouble for it. It is so common to see those things. And I should add that it's not a "class" or money issue either, this happens all across and it's utterly appalling to me.
It bugs me to the core.

Some people really wind me up.
DYK that most car accidents occur with people on short journeys who do not wear their belt?! Some people need there head testing.

That's pretty stupid... though, my aunt was telling me about how that's how she took her kids home from the hospital (40 years ago). There were no infant seats then - though, she was in the back seat.
Also, my parents used to let me 'taste' beer (I'd stick my finger in the bottle - I was maybe 3 at the time). And I didn't drink at all until I was a sophomore in college. I really don't think it's a huge deal to taste. I hated the taste - which is why I think I didn't drink for so long!
