Around 10ish I started getting inconsistant contractions that made me notice but weren't too painful. I sat on my birthing ball and watched some TV and they got consistant and more uncomfy. My MIL had sensed that lastnight was going to be the night as I had a burst of energy so she was already at the house which was nice. She went to bed around 12ish I believe and James and I stayed up and timed contractions debating wether or not to go in. We didn't want to wait to long (I need meds for the pos gbs test thingy) and yet we didn't want to go un needed. Both Curtis and Dustin woke up for different reasons and I was having a hard time helping them cause of the contractions. We put Curtis back to bed and tried to get some sleep with Dustin in our bed but I just kept waking James up from being in pain. Around 1:30 we gave in and headed to the hospital and left the boys with MIL.
We got to the hospital and they did a few checks and decided they would start my IV with meds right away incase this was it. I was 3 to 4 cm and thin and stretchy but baby was still high. We got into our room and got all settled. The contractions were getting closer and closer and much more intense. They did blood work and got my IV started and then I headed into the shower.. I believe around 3? Maybe a touch earlier. She offered me laughing gas and I used that for pretty much the rest of the labor... not to sure what it helped but I kinda gave me something to concentrate my breathing on. I headed back into the bed around 4ish I believe as the Dr was going to break my water. He checked and I had a TINY bit of cervix left... he broke my water and then realized that baby was facing up. But he was coming and he was coming fast. I pushed for 11 mins. The dr said if he had been in better position he would have just shot out. My butt HURTS still hahaha. But out he came!! James delivered him and brought him to my chest and cut his cord (which had a big knot in it...). He was 6lbs 7oz 20inches. Looks like Curtis I think
