Nothing doing lol. My BP is up 135/88, but the doc is not concerned, not spilling protein, and i'm getting close to my EDD.
Is is possible that my doc might have stripped my membranes without saying anything? I've been checked every appt for a while do to PTL, and i don't even feel it. She is so gentle. But today, she put a hand up there, got a determined look on her face, said "sorry", and really rammed it up there and i felt lots of stretching and such. Very painful. Afterwards she said "you can expect to bleed a bit from that, and maybe we'll have a baby soon." I had a lot of contractions immediately following, but they've calmed down now. No bleeding. Just interesting....

Sounds like stripping to me! Just be careful now not to stick anything up there because it can introduce bacteria

It could just be that Teddy was really low. Ash was so low that my cervix was behind her head and the MW's had to really reach to find it.
Glad everything is well. I hope he comes soon!

When I had my membranes stripped, that's the only time I personally ever felt pain during a check. I contracted for 24 hours, lost my plug, and bled but never went into labor. It was so frustrating and exhausting. My mom got her membranes stripped with my brother and she was in labor 12 hours later. I guess it all depends LoL. Hopefully he's here very soon!!

I think I had a nurse who stripped my membranes without telling me, because I bled like crazy and it hurt like HELL.
Hopefully Teddy comes soon! I know that for me, after going through preterm labor, I was soo ready by the time I was full term because I thought I would already have a baby.

I never went into labor soon after having my membranes stripped.....well, I guess I *technically* can't say that! I had my membranes stripped a week before I had Edward, I didn't go into labor until the following week, the day before I had my appointment. I actually missed my appointment because I was in the hospital in labor! With Preston, I was already in labor when she stripped my membranes....which sort of confuses me since I wasn't due for my scheduled c-section for at least another month. Preston was born the next day! Good Lord I hated that woman! So glad I found a different doctor to deliver Mason!

Yeah having my membranes striped hurt me -- I felt it and I bled after. I was VERY crampy after too. Did not help though. My water was not going to break on its own considering how hard she has to use the stick to break my water lol.

LOL @ Sam! I have a friend who works at my ob/gyn's office. Ohhhh the list of stories and objects she has told me about. One, the grossest, a potato----and it had been there so long it was sprouting! The "lady" was too ashamed to tell anyone that she had a spud stuck up her vajayjay! LOL
Now to the orig. post. I dunno. I was only checked at my first appt. and then at my last for my group b strep. At that time I was told to expect about 3 weeks or so hahahaha. It was um 4 days. LOL

It does sound like she stripped your membranes. I had mine stripped with Loch and Lila and while it wasn't "painful" it was very uncomfortable (regular checks don't ever bother me) and I did bleed some after, and I was also very crampy. With Lochy I went into labor 13 hours later and with Lila it was about 10 hours later.
Could be tonight or he could be cozy and want to stay a couple more weeks! I hope he comes soon for you!
