*drum roll*

His immune system works.....

FINE!!!

His bloodwork was perfectly normal. His Immune system works "great".

We have a confirmed egg allergy by blood now. No eggs, foods made where eggs are a main ingredient and no vaccines. ( No vaccines! I can not tell you how happy I am that I made the decision to delay!)

We will find out Tuesday if he needs his adenoids/tonsils removed, tubes placed. We find out Thursday more about his reflux problems. His reflux is VERY severe right now -- Prilosec AND Zantac are NOT helping. He has been vomiting again, AND it looks like he might have Delayed Gastric Emptying -- He vomited DINNER (from 7pm) at 2:30am.

At least we are finally getting results and are on the road to making him better!

Does he eat any chicken? The reason I ask is because my son is anaphylactic to egg and has been since he was a baby. He was also mildly allergic to chicken (linked to the egg allergy). Well, when he was 3 our pediatrician told us to start re-introducing all his allergy foods except egg since his egg allergy is severe. He didn't have a reaction to any of the foods, so YAY! He'd outgrown them. Around that same time, he began vomiting. Severely. He'd vomit like he had stomach flu for up to 5 days at a time--up to 8 times an HOUR! It was BAD! And it would happen every 2 weeks or so for months on end. We were told he had cyclical vomiting syndrome. There is no cure.

Until one day, I realized that it had begun happening right when we reintroduced his allergy foods to him. I cut out the chicken again. The vomiting stopped. He has a delayed reaction to chicken, and it's more of a build-up reaction. Just eating chicken once does nothing, but if he eats it a few times a week, then after a couple weeks, he reacts to it.

So....all that long story to say that if he has an egg allergy, you may want to also try eliminating chicken to see if it makes any difference in any of his health issues...

Good luck!
