....J.J will be having surgery to remove his adenoids and get tubes

X-ray revealed his adenoids are 60% larger then they are supposed to be. They are the cause of his congestion and everything else under the sun. We also decided to do 1 set of tubes, and see if this helps him as well.

I am already a nervous wreck and its 6 weeks away

To top things off, he has a sinus infection right now too.

I'm so sorry that you guys have to go through all this. I pray that the surgery will go well and that this will bring some relief to the little guy. He has certainly been a real trooper going through all of this.

Seamus was a little over 2yrs old (2yrs 2.5mo) when he got his out and I was a nervous wreck too but we only had a 2 week notice.(and I was around 13weeks pregnant).
Bring one of his favorite toys/animals and make sure that you guys are there right when he wakes up. They didn't get us when Seamus woke up even though they said they would and we saw them wheeling him back to the ped's unit and had to chase after them and Seamus was freaked.
He was on Popsicles, apple sauce and jello for a while but the meds they gave him(made him sleep) helped for the first 2 weeks and he didn't have many problems eating, and getting the surgery done helped loads.

JJ will be fine and I'm glad they are getting it done now rather then when he's older(herd is super painful in the teens +).
Lots of
for you

Ryan gets very congested bless him .. he finds it difficult breathing easy when eating .. he has a asthma puffer and now a nasal spray to see if that helps .. personally I don't think it is I think we may be going back to the docs quite a bit this winter with various colds as his ears get blocked quite bad when he gets colds

In the long run it will make him a happier, healthier baby but I can understand the worry.

The adenoid removal will REALLY help his sinus problems. I'm shocked they aren't doing tonsils too. They normal just do both at the same time here. It lasted all of 15mins for brady. But it is so scary every time!

I hope the surgery helps him tremendously! I understand your worry though, we never want to see our kids go through these kinds of things.

The only reason they are not doing his tonsils is because he has not had strep ever yet. She said she is not one to start removing things when they are of zero issue.
