I'm going to a wedding tomorrow... and leaving Teddy for the first time!!! It's only a couple hours... but *sniff sniff* he's so little still. Luckily the wedding and reception are several hours apart, so i can see him in between. I might skip out on the reception, we'll see.
Do you remember the first time you went out without your baby?

I remember!! lol... I wouldn't leave Chloe and my SO at the time finally convinced me to leave her when she was 5 weeks old so we could go out on a date.. literally went to the restaurant and 1/2 through dinner he could tell that I couldn't get my mind off her and if she was ok and if she was happy and finally said "Should we just go?" I said "Yes!" and we drove home and I seriously ran across the lawn from my car to my mom's house and got inside to see her sound asleep and happy as could be.. I didn't leave her again for a few months after that tho lol.

I do also... I went out for Halloween last year (so london was about 3 months old) I waited till london wen to bed 10pm and then troy did the 1-2 am feeding and I was home in time for the next one. So he was only awake for about 5 min while I was gone. The longest I have been away while he has been awake was 1.5 hrs while troy and I got massages for v-day and a friend watched him (so london was about 6 months). I plan my stuff during his naps and bedtime LOL Man I need to get out more! LOL

Hmm... I rarely leave them (I wish I COULD have more alone time with Andy). I don't think I left Taylor until I was in the hospital with Rylie... wow, that's crazy. That would have made Taylor 17 months old. Andy and I only get the chance to go out once a year for 3 or so hours by ourselves and it's DEFINITELY mentally exhausting. Enjoy yourself the best you can

Aww! It's hard to leave the first time. The good thing is he is soo little he won't know your gone much.
I left for like 10 mins when Oliver was 3 weeks old to take my Opa to his hotel across the street from my neighborhood. Then a week later I went to pick up a pizza with my mother in law. I wasn't gone more than 30 mins that times. At 6 weeks I went to vote in the 08 election and to my post partum appt. I was gone for a few hours and it was hard for me to be away! I hated leaving him for any amount of time when he was tiny and still do at 2 yrs old!

Umm Harper was 5 days old. We left her with my mom for a few hours while we went shopping. Does this make me a bad mom?

Not at all!!
I left Addie for the first time at 2 weeks old to go to the dr., but it wasn't for long.. Then at 3 weeks we left her and went out to dinner for our birthdays! My parents insisted we go out and they watch her! I did call a few times and all we talked about was her

Bella spent the night at my mom's not too long ago...that was crazy! Ian was a month old when he spent the night at my parents so that my sister, BIL and I could go to some haunted houses (it was halloween time lol) then when he was 4 months (I know shoot me now) I let MIL fly with him to Arizona for 4 days (eep!!!) Now I cant believe I did that LOL Morgan I dont think I ever left...she was by my side day and night till she turned 2 and then stayed at my mom's over night. Shes the one who normally says she wants to go then chickens out and wants me and wont leave LOL!!!

Not at all. J.J was a few days old when I went out shopping by myself and left him with DH. I went back to work at 4 weeks PP and he was watched by a friend before entering day care at 10 weeks old. His first sleepover without us was at 4 months old.

so i went to both wedding and reception and had a great time! I was really anxious during the wedding, but when i got home, it turned out he was just sleeping the whole time. I was home in time to change a dirty diaper and feed him both boobs.
The reception was a riot... everyone was drunk. I enjoyed a cosmo. It was nice. Unfortunatley we left before things got exciting. There was apparently a lot of drunken dancing and drunk dialing. We left immediatley after dinner. I got a text from my mom saying that teddy was awake... and sucking furiously on a paci. When i got to the door at home, he was wailing and it broke my heart. I enjoyed my evening out though.

I'm glad you had a good time!!! I have probably been away from Landen 5ish times. The worst was 3 days away from him when he was 4 months. I was in the hospital having surgery and my dear lovely friends didn't want to have to go out of their way to take him to see me.
