hmm... probably the time I went to see a movie on my own. it was shrek: forever after and that was a couple months ago. I'm sure there has been something since then but i can't think of it.

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I was out by myself, except for a rare quick trip to the grocery store. Even then I usually have at least one kid with me.

Probably the pedicure we all got done the day before my sister's wedding which was in the beginning of February. I wasn't alone but I was with my sis and my Mom and the other bridesmaids and it was fun, especially because I was 9 months pregnant!

Before that, alone and just for me, it's been years...

a year and a half ago I was alone and watched a movie on my laptop LOL! About a month ago my ex sister in law babysat and I cleaned the house. My mom said she wanted to keep Brayden next Saturday so maybe I'll do something then?

Hmmmmm...I have not really done the alone thing in a while. I guess the closest to that would have been in August when I went to Jamaica and 2 nights I went out to dinner with friends and hubby took care of the baby at the hotel.

A couple weeks or so before AJ came James surprised me with a hair cut and manicure. It was beautiful

A handful of times my MIL has come over for a few hours and let me nap... that's been WONDERFUL. I have yet to refuse any help from her and I think it's been awesome for the both of us.. she loves the boys and feeling needed and I get the rest I need or the time I need to do a good cleaning of the house. Never refuse help!!!

One of the ironic benefits of divorce is sharing parenting time. Therefore, 3 nights out of every 2 weeks, I have a baby-free zone. Some of the things I've done with that time are: go out to dinner, browse around the mall, take a bubble bath, spend all night on the phone with friends uninterrupted, hang out with my sister, go to the movies, READ an actual BOOK. I also get a full, uninterrupted nights' sleep!!! I miss Dominic like crazy by the time I go to bed those nights, let alone the next morning, but I have to admit that it helps keep me sane to have that "me" time, and the sleep aspect cannot be overstated.

I get "me" time pretty often. I know that it's good for me and I can't imagine not having it.

Last night I went out to dinner with a friend and then we went to a pottery painting place and just painted/talked for about 3 hours.

Even today I went to AT&T and bought an iPhone by myself.

One night a few weeks ago I told DH that I had to go to Starbucks to work on editing photos for a client (true) but I went out for a sit down dinner by myself.

2 weeks ago I went to Sacramento alone to photograph 2 weddings. I made time to have breakfast with a friend.

Twice I have gone to Seattle alone to visit my sister. I think I love that the most....I feel independent when I travel alone, I love getting to the airport early and eating alone and then using the computer. I also didn't miss Reid quite as much as I thought I would (I did, but it wasn't unbearable like I expected) because we stayed super busy the whole time. I won't lie. I loooove not having to be on anyones schedule but my own - sleeping, showering, etc.

I also wanted to add that I LOVE having a DH who will never complain if I ask him to watch Reid. He doesn't mind at all when I want to go and do something alone. Sometimes he even suggests it.
