but I don't wanna go. She's barely 20, he's almost 40 with a daughter her age, they just met on the internet, she got mad at her parents and moved almost 1000 miles to here, and he's on the rebound after a couple crappy relationships....3rd or 4th marriage for him I think....first real relationship of hers I think. If they are happy then I think it is great, but half of me wonders if it is just the honeymoon phase for them and "real life" has yet to set in. None of my business either way, and neither are friends of mine...would it be bad to use Brayden as an excuse to not go? LOL I do know his family....poor girl.

my dad was about 38 ish when he met my step mom, she is about 20 years younger than him (id have to do the math) and they are still married but she was like 24 when they got married. I would say dont go if you dont want to. Not my cup of tea if you dont know the people! what a drag it would be to sit there not knowing anyone!

My childhood best friend's parents were 20 years apart. They were married until her dad died a couple of years ago. Whatever floats their boat. Although a rebound marriage probably isn't a good idea no matter what age you are! DH is 8 years older than me. I know it is nothing compared to 20 years, but I wish we were closer in age!
I agree, don't go if you don't want to. Unless you RSVPed saying you would go. Then that might be a little rude.

me and my dh have the same age gap as you and ur man krista, it is like just far enough that there are some things he talks about that i just dont get lol
i wouldnt go to the wedding if u dont feel like it, what a drag it would be to not know anyone. but that being said you could meet people, and maybe find out some gossip about these two! maybe they really are soul mates!

I have no issue with age gaps. A good friend of mine's husband is 30 years older than her... and they are crazy in love after decades together.
But yeah... its a little creepy to be getting married so frequently.

Well he was married to his daughters mother a long time ago, got divorced YEARS ago and swore off women. Then he got married last year when matt and I first started talking so right about 1 yr ago. LAsted a couple of months, he realized she was satan in female form and they divorced. Then he met this girl back in the spring or summer, she moved back here, she's in school and says she's never been treated as good before in her life as she is back here. So.....they got married yesterday. She seems nice. His daughter didn't seem too terribly pleased, but this is the 2nd wedding of her dad's that she's been too and her new step mom is her age.
