Tropical Storm Tomas passed over us last night and early this morning. Fortunately for me, my relatives and a few other persons I've been able to reach, we are good but there has been widespread damage across the island with houses down, roof tops blown off, trees down, etc. Power was just restored in my area. There have been no reports of any deaths so far (hopefully, there will be none) but there were a few injuries.

It passed us around mid-morning and was headed toward some of our neighboring islands. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you all. The storm appeared quite suddenly and was fairly powerful from early on. I understand that it pounded St. Vincent pretty badly and also did some damage in St. Lucia. Our mobile networks are still up so I've been able to communicate with a few friends in the islands to get an update on what's happening.

Glad everyone is okay! I hope it didn't do too much damage. Do you guys get mudslides there?

I didn't even realize there was a hurricane out there! I normally track these kinds of things, but since it is almost November I stopped.

Thank you all. It has now passed and it may be headed for Haiti. I really hope it dies out. They have suffered so much this year already.
