So, I'm not from the US and we don't have these sales here but I see on the news how persons camp out the night before the sale at some of the malls/department stores to cash in on these deals.
Have you camped out for one of these sales? (If you did and have pics, please share )
If not, do you think it's something you will ever do?

I've never camped out, but I did wake up super early one time to go to a few sales. I probably wouldn't ever want something badly enough to camp out.
I generally don't shop BF because we spent Thanksgiving with my in-laws and they live in a rural area...so not that many stores to choose from.

I went to Walmart last year. Holy cow it was a zoo. I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping for the year so I don't think I'll be going. I might go to Kohl's to get Harper some winter gear because we are going to Colorado in January.

Our equivalent in Canada is the day after Christmas, called Boxing day. We went last year and it was pretty crazy, but if you're patient and not in a rush, its not a big deal. I got buy 1 get three free on Lush bath products, so i was happy camper.

i have gone to BF with a friend and her sister and i found the sales to be kinda crappy. to be honest everyday pricing over the border is so much cheaper for me that its not worth getting up at 4am and waiting in hr long lineups to buy some random thing at walmart. really only like 1 or 2 things were a truly good deal at each store and it was never the case that that was what i needed to buy....so it was a huge hassle with not much money saved. especially when you factor in hotel, gas & food. day trips mid week are much more up my alley!

we don't have black friday here either. I went to the mall on Boxing Day once and it was enough for me LOL I'll probably never do it again.

I'm usually there at least 10-11pm before the store opens. It all depends on the product I want. It's LOADS of fun!
I already have a few ads for this year

You know, I could live without whatever I wait for. But I really enjoy spending that one on one time with DH without alot of other distractions. We talk, play cards, make friends with other local people in line... I'm very thankful that I can get that time with him

I just go super early.. I don't camp out..
The last time I went out on Black Friday was when I was in Southern California.. Oh.. It was a horrible experience... soooo many people.. long lines..
This year I plan on going out with a friend.. Just to look around and see if there is any good deals..

I never go out on black friday. I despise crowds and I'm not a huge fan of shopping (unless its for the kids) so combining the two is not my idea of a good time. And I would never camp out either, that's just silly.
Plus, people around here have gotten trampled to death waiting for the doors to open on black friday...

I've never done black friday and I would never camp out over night. I might wake up very early if it was a great deal on an expensive item we wanted like a TV.

Does you husband like to shop? My husband would rather be shot than do that. It has been years since I've been able to get him to run into a mall with me for something quick.

I know quite a few men like your DH, Resi. Mine will tag along sometimes but you can almost guarantee that there will be some whining on, during and after the trip.

I love BF sales. I usually go super early with my Mom and aunts, if we go to SC for the holiday. It's more of a time to hang out, than it is really about the shopping.

Guy and I go together too or my mom and I go. Its more about spending time together than actually getting stuff.

He usually doesn't mind running errands with me. I actually don't like him to shop with me most of the time because he adds so many extra things into the cart.
Only thing he whines about on Black Friday is the getting up early. Once he's at the stores, he doesn't really care.

I've been once, but I didn't camp out the night before. I went at something like 3:00 am. I don't think I ever want to do that again! It was soooo crowded and people can get vicious! If I ever went again we would have to have someone keep Charlotte because I would have to bring DH... I call him my crowd parter.
Boxing Day seems to be an appropriate name for that shopping day if it is anything like it is in the U.S.!

Oh yeah I refuse to do it without DH. Especially that I'm pregnant. You need a body guard!
I think if you go with a relaxed attitude it can be a lot of fun watching people go crazy. Last year, I saw the police tazer a guy in Walmart cause he started a fist fight and wouldn't stop.
