Chris got sick the other day and was prescribed ciprofloxacin winch I am allergic to. Since then I've felt pretty crappy but figured maybe I was getting sick too. Well we just tried to get it on and started to feel horrible and then he noticed every where he kiss or had umm used spit on was covered in a horrible rash. I am so itchy now. I had no idea him taking it could effect me like this.

I had no idea it could pass to me like that either!!! Its weird because Landen has taken amoxicillin winch I am also allergic too and he nurses and I had no reaction at all. My rashes seem to be going down although I still itch. I asked Chris to stop taking it... I get he needs his meds but sheet man he can go get something else I am sure LOL!

DO NOT HAVE HIM STOP! Cipro is a strong antibiotic (i'm a little surprised they gave it--what was wrong with him?). Anyway.... its VERY bad to start and not properly finish a drug because your body will build a resistance. So instead of having him stop just stop the "transfer" of bodily fluids till he is done with them.

He had a tummy ache on the day his game came out.... Okay he swears he was really sick (even though he seemed fine) and they said it might have been food poisoning from burger king but they didn't test him or anything. Dude I got so sick last night from it, i pooped blood twice, sore throat, dizzy and then the rash today and we didn't do anything last night because you know pooping blood kinda hurts haha. At least I am guessing it is from the meds. This freaking sucks!!!

Just wanted to add I didn't think any of the stuff last night was related to this until I got the rash looked it up and saw those were also side effects!

I think you need to get checked out. Considering all the side effects and the fact that you haven't actually ingested any, I think something else going on.

KUP. I don't like the sound of pooping blood.

I think from what you said you need to be checked .. I would have thought you wouldn't have any side effects from his medication .. I think you would have to take them yourself to have a reaction ??

Yikes!! I'm allergic to Cipro too. I've taken it once and got an all over body rash/hives and felt like I couldn't breathe. I immediately took 3 benedryl, went to Med 7 and by the time I got there the reaction was almost gone.

Being allergic to meds is scary stuff. I'm also allergic to cechlor and sulfa drugs...so basically any of the stuff that they usually use to treat UTI's which I get pretty often. Ugh.

Let us know what your doc says tomorrow. Your symptoms are crazy.
