I heard about it on the nbc early morning show last week. I think they plan to have as many as god gives them like their parents? I don't have cable so I don't watch the show but I have seen it in the past.

Wow, 25.. that's a big number.
We don't have the show here or I'd watch it, I do read news about them here and there though.

I have to admit, I love watching the duggars... they are my guilty pleasure. they may have too many children in my opinion, but those are some well raised children.

I actually really like the Duggars. I personally think that's too many kids but they are well raised, loved, and intelligent so who am I to judge? LoL!! I bought their book when I was pregnant with Seth... it's a good book!

I kinda like that show too. I have no problem with the number of children they have or the number Josh and Anna want to have--none of my business. As long as they're well cared for and they can afford it I say go for it!
I'd have 10 kids if I could afford it!

i think thats why i love the duggars so much! their kids are so well raised. i often wondered if there is some kind of non-religious framework that you could use to raise your kids in a similar way. i'm thinking of just doing up a list like they do, i think its their list of morals or something. it's nice to just have something to refer to! christianity does have some really great teachings, and its definitely a great framework to raise kids with. its just a shame that i can't get into it since i wasn't raised in the same fashion, kwim?
oh i also love how mumma duggar teaches them self control by just giving them time outs here and there, not as punishment at all. its cute watching the little kids struggling with it but great to see the ones a bit older totally have it mastered!

At first i was like OMG they have HOW many kids!? But the kids are well behaved. They love their family. They do "normal" family things. I don't like that the older kids "help raise" the younger kids -- kinda seems like they don't get to experience teenagehood -- only childhood. But I do watch the show from time to time.

I've never watched the show but I've heard that they seem to do a good job raising the family.
My beef used to be how do the older children really feel inside seeing that they have a lot of responsibility taking care of the younger ones. (I read a story saying that all the older children helped out and were happy to do so...just wondering if deep down they really feel this way...they may and if they truly do then that would be great.) Perhaps, they have help...nannies? I'm not sure.
I think large families are wonderful, provided that they are well cared for, well raised (manners, etc), each offered similar opportunities and that the older children are not stuck with the responsibilities of the younger ones in a way that they really can't enjoy their "own" time.

I love that show too Sarah! I felt so terrible that Anna miscarried, but I am glad she is now in her 2nd trimester. I'm glad Josh is so excited, and his family. I have heard him say that they plan to have as many babies as God plans, but he doesn't want a brood like he grew up in.
I think, and as an avid watcher, you would know, that Josh and Anna have become much more "normal" since their marriage. She was wearing quite a bit of makeup-- I mean like un-Duggarly common-- and her earrings and hair cut could have been done like Amy's friends. I noticed they also have IPhones.
McKynzie {sp.?} is super super cute!!!
