So yesterday, out of nowhere, as soon as I got home, J.J vomited in my car (like an idiot, i let him vomit in the car, i had plenty of time to remove him from the car. d'oh!). It went everywhere -- all over his car seat, upholstery, floor, etc.
I washed his car seat cover yesterday already (although there is still a small smell), and i got up the vomit from the car however, IT STILL STINKS! (i can't get the smell out of my nose either!)
It smells like rotten milk (he threw up yogurt... ugh)!
Any one have any tricks to get rid of the smell?
Right now my car smells like rotten milk and Apples & Cinnamon (i put an air freshener in there)

I use Resolve Multi Fabric spray to clean my dining room chairs and the couch my dog sleeps on... gets the stains and smell out. I'm sure it would work just as well in a car. I usually just spray it, scrub it and go over it with a damp sponge a few times, then just give it a couple hours to dry. I'd say just clean it really good with a cleaner and leave your windows cracked open to air it out for a little while. Good Luck!

Resi, with the fact that my engine just failed the compression test (meaning there is a leak in the engine causing it to constantly sputter) i might be in the market for a new car sooner rather then later.
I tried resolve already last night. Did not work.

Ugh, Elsa spilled chocolate milk under her carseat, I didn't know, and it leaked onto the rug. One day sitting out in the hot summer sun, the smell was worse than anything I have ever smelled in my life. And to make it worse, there was some under her carseat I didn't know about. I ended up throwing out her carseat completely, then I used oxiclean and febreeze everyday for weeks before the smell was gone. I felt bad for the people who had to work on my car just 1 week after, it still stunk! Now the smell is finally gone, 3 months later.

I know Morgan (ANGWife) made up a concotion of vinegar, soap, water, and something else, for got what it was - to get the funky smell out of her couch after her BIL slept on it. She said it did work...and it was all natural too. Might wanna ask her.

BLEH! STILL SMELLS!
Last night we tried using a product called Stink Free -- Its for getting the smell of cat urine out of carpets and what not. Worked so far on his car seat (We also rinsed his car seat down in the shower last night)! We sprayed it in the car last night too. I'll know the results later when I take a whif in my car.

It might just need some time to air out. Using too many different cleaning things will only mask the problem and the smell will still be there.
