My last day of work will be January 28th! I can't believe I only have eight weeks left before I say goodbye for a whole year. And since I have the week between Christmas and New Year off, it means I only have seven weeks of work left!

I'm leaving early because I have 18 days of vacation/time owed that I need to take before my maternity leave kicks in at the end of February. I gotta say I'm really looking forward to those weeks!

I WISH we got a year off here. I don't even qualify for FMLA because I just started this job, but I had no choice, I had to take it. So I only get 6 weeks. I am already crying about it, so enjoy your time, it is sooo worth taking as much time as possible!

Yay for you! You must be so excited

I also have lot of annual leave built up so will be finishing at work next Thursday (16th Dec) and having a month off before bubs arrives. I get 14 weeks paid maternity leave (at around half my normal wages) but my job will be kept open for me for up to 12 months.

It will be nice to have that time to yourself to get ready and relax. You're going to love having that year with your little baby boy!

Yay! How exciting. I wish we had a year here. I've been back to work at night for a while and it really sucks.
