Ugh!

I know DH meant well, but, he got J.J the store brand rice milk the other day (we usually get organic rice dreams) and he's having a major delayed reaction to it. Loose stool and his allergic rash. We have benedryl last night to help the rash but, its still there.

*sigh* J.J is so sensitive to anything that just changing BRANDS (and this is RICE MILK!) effects him!

We recently discovered J.J can't have lactaid milk, either. It bothers his stomach (guess who is lactose intolerant like his mommy, grandmother and uncle?).

*sigh* This is really bothersome. The allergist keeps telling us he will outgrow all this, but we are not seeing it.

Poor baby. He just can't seem to catch a break. I think he's going to be one tough guy when he gets older.

That stinks. Are you sure it was the rice milk or could it be something else? It just seems so odd that would bother him.

It also sounds like maybe he is more than just lactose intolerant with the cow's milk, he may have problems with the milk protein.

They told me Matthew would likely outgrow his milk allergy (apparently lots of kids do by age 2, including Matthew's cousin) but I don't see it happening either. His pedi told me at his last appt that if he outgrows it, he will probably be one of the kids that outgrows it at a later age (maybe by age 4???) since he still reacts so strongly to milk products (diarrhea with mucus).

Well right now, we have a major rash going on. We think it's fifths.
