so my day started out in Victoria, BC where we were visiting Jay's extended family (grandma, aunt and uncle).

I got to sleep in until 9:30 (score!)


and becuase i know this is what you were all looking for, I took a first thing in the morning picture of me lol please don't mind the look...


and while I wait for DH to get out of the bathroom, I decided to check my facebook from my phone, and it seems you girls are all dominating my updates! lol



pack up the beds and make my way to breakfast (jay's grandma makes super tasty breakfast which i forgot to take a pic of... but here's one of the breakfast area and the dog (dolly) who likes to greet me in the morning)




ready to start the day!


letting breakfast settle, DH and I watched a little TV with his mom's dog (Shadow) and enjoyed the great scenery. DH's grandma lives on the water front





and who doesn't like a mid-morning snack while relaxing


FIL decided he wanted to take the earlier ferry than we were taking and since his car was parked on the other side, DH and I drove him to the terminal (which is about 2 minutes away)



now the rest will be to be continued because it's 12:30 and I have to be up at 4:30 for work.... ew! more to come tomorrow afternoon!

Haha! I know, eh?! DH's grandma's house is so 70s!!! lovely mustard yellow shag carpet... however, being waterfront, it is at least worth a couple million (as is!) just think what it would be like all new and updated!

part two:

So shortly after we dropped off FIL, DH and I got back to his grandma's house just in time to get our stuff together and head back out to get in line for the 1 o'clock ferry.



good bye house! and good by Victoria! (btw, don't you love the teal color of the house??)


time to get in line...


what a goof! I asked DH to smile for the camera and this is what I got... lol


20 minutes til the ferry leaves, so why not do some reading?



but I can take time out of my reading to listen to DH's and my first dance song


on the ferry! Time to leave the car area and take a trip upstairs... but who wants to walk up 3 flights of stairs lol lazy day!



DH and I decided to have a little drink and snack whilst enjoying the lovely view of the Georgia Strait



after our snack we took a little walk around the boat




what's behind door number one?? we never did find out... mystery door...

we had to pull over about 5 minutes after we got off the ferry because DH got his car stuck in the wrong gear... men... lol and while we were pulled over I saw this field FULL of seagulls and for some reason had to take a picture for you guys! lol

Got to the in-laws' house to drop off MIL and Shadow. then it's off to the grocery store to pick up food for my work christmas party.



finally time to get into MY car and head home to cook some food (I made green bean casserole and a litle chicken finger snack - first for work, second for me!)



casserole is baking, time to sort out and wrap some presents and then catch up on some JM (and Amy's pictures)




it's done! looks yummy! (and it was )


and there's still time for a little "Muppets from Space" before it's party time!

For those of you who don't know, I work at Michaels, so that's where our party was held


we had a full turkey dinner, played some "guess who" games and of course, played Hide and Seek in the store. SO MUCH FUN!

after that it was just home to upload some pics and hit the hay as I work at 5am every day

thanks ladies! I work 5am-1:30pm (usually, sometimes 2 or 2:30 depending on how busy we are). Hooray for christmas work hours!

yeah you drive your car on (either upper level or lower) and then the above levels are for either walk on passengers or anyone from the cars can go up and relax up there. do you guys not have ferries? or at least drive on ferries?

this is the type of ferry we were on. sort of like a mini cruise ship that you can park your car on LOL
