I'm so lukewarm over all these baby names

At this point in my pregnancy with Henry, we already had his name picked out and I was calling my belly by name.

How is it that I can not like any boy names?

Anyone else had/having this much trouble?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay so here are the potential names. You can be honest with me. For real, I don't want my kid to have a funny name

Since Henry is named for my side of the family, we'd like to name this baby for Ed's side. So either the first or middle name "has" to be a family name.

Mitchell- I like the nickname Mitch (sounds like an "old man" name just like Hank)

Gordon- *family name. I only agree to use this as a middle name cause I'm not liking it at all.

Gabriel- Nickname Gabe (also "old man" or tough guy name with Hank). But this name may be too popular for my taste

Martin- *family name, MIL's maiden. We also agreed this would only be a middle name if chosen.

Jude- We love the Beatles. But I'm afraid this name doesn't blend well with our names.

Charles- *Nickname Charlie. Yes, I love Peanuts. But will he get made fun of being named after the writer/character?

Jack- *MY family name. Like the simplicity but again it's getting very popular.

Walter- Nickname Walt. (Walt and Hank) Did you know this name means "commander of the army"? Perfect fit for Walt Disney, huh?

Andrew- *family name. Nickname Andy. Ed would only want this as a middle name.

Mason

David

Clarke

Shawn- Can't convince Ed to like this one

Warren- May be too much of a mouthful with our last name.

Hey, you asked didn't you?

Picking out a girl name the second time around was a bit more of a challenge, I'm pretty sure I was well into my seventh month before we officially decided. This time around seemed even harder, especially since I kept saying, "Eh, it's a boy anyway. Why bother?"

Try not to stress, baby WILL have a name eventually.

um yeah we still don't know what we are going to name this baby and to be honest i'm so sick of talking about it that i'm fine with waiting until she's born. I call her GiGi cause i think it suits her, but she could be totally different once she comes out, i have no idea. i just figure something will come to me once she's born LOL picking names is SO hard!!

We didn't have a name picked out for Alissa until the day she was born. We kept going back and forth between names but the second she was born we knew she was an Alissa.

Names are hard! We always have an easy time with one gender and an impossible time with the other. With the boys we never did secure a girls name and with Lila we didn't have a boy name until the day before her gender scan.

Try not to worry about it, you'll find the perfect name for your little man!

What are the names that you have considered?

Oliver was easy because we had it picked out for years without giving it much thought. If we ever have a second we will have a very hard time. I can't find a name that I love like Oliver for a boy or girl.

I'm sure you'll find the perfect one in time Maybe get a couple or something and wait until he's here.

What are some that you've discussed?

We had a fairly easy time with our names... however each boy is named after Daddy... not sure what we'll do if we have another boy!

Are you gonna have more Stephenie ??

We had a hard time choosing names .. ryan took a day or 2 after he was born for us to decide on a name.

Chloe we decided in the car on the way to hospital if she was a girl.

A friend of mine at school (her eldest is in same class as Ryan) she had baby a few months ago ... he was namless for just over a week They finnaly settled on Fergus.
And a lady a few doors up from me had a home birth about 5 days ago .. he was nameless til yesterday and they called him Joel.

I think you have some great names there!

I love Mitchell, Gabriel, Jude, Charles, Jack, Walter, Andrew. I agree with you that Jude doesn't totally "go" but I still think its a great name and like somebody pointed out to me, they won't be introduced as a sibling set their whole lives so go with a name you absolutely love.

I think any of them would be really nice choices. Maybe take your list with you when you have him and decide then?

I like Gabriel Martin, Charles Andrew, and Mitchell or Walter Jack together. You've got some great combo choices!

Of all those I love Charles/Charlie the best and I think it goes with the rest of your names perfectly. I would be highly surprised if kids at school associated that name with Charlie Brown or Charles Schultz.

I wouldn't use Walter or Warren as a middle name because of your last name. My favs are Mitchell, Mason, Jude, and David!!!

Mitchell Gordon and Jude Andrew have been the top 2 names so far for us. But like I said, I'm not committed to any of them
