Hasn't pooped in 8 days!!! 8 DAYS!!! I feel so bad for him. Hes 100% BF So I dont get it!!! Ive read they can go up to 14 days with out pooping, I called my peid and she said its normal and to give him an oz of prune juice. I would think anything but BM or formula in a baby isnt allowed. Well i gave him an oz and so far nothing. He has pooped a little twice in the 8 days but just like a lil squirt...nothing i would actually call poop. If the juice doesnt work i have to give him a sapository poor kid!! hes only 3 months old
He pooped!!!! This morning her had a nice mushy diaper. haha...He's still straightning out his legs and fussing a lot but Im thinking this is his new thing. He does it as soon as I sit him on the boppy to eat or when im holding him. So maybe this is a new habit of his? I feel better now that he pooped, I just hope he doesn't go that long again!

I went through that with Amara when she was around Baylen's age. She'd gone 7 days without pooping. After trying everything, the pedi told me to mix sugar in a little water and give her. I was mortified at the thought of giving her sugar but I tried and she pooped the next day...5 diapers on poop. I thought she was not going to stop. She was on breastmilk only as well.

is he uncomfortable? If not maybe just watch it.
things that would help.... warm bath/rag on belly, some hip circle yoga moves, rub belly.

Poor baby. I am always surprised when Harper goes even 2 days without pooping but 8. Is he uncomfortable? When Harper is going through a growth spurt she only poops every few days. Her pedi said they utilize the breast milk more efficiently when going through a growth spurt.

J.J used to go 5-7 without pooping. We had to give him 2oz of prune juice twice a day for 3 months before his system got moving.

I'm sure he is okay but I understand poop worries! Never had a problem when Oliver was tiny but once solids started the constipation did too.

I think he's starting to get uncomfortable. He's been pretty gassy and it stinks. I always think he must have pooped cause it sure smells like it. But nothing. He gets a bath almost every night. Mostly cause I need to scrub his cradle cap good and put the oil on his head. He's been arching his back a lot more and straightening out his legs when he starts crying. Im gonna try the juice again tomorrow and buy some sopositorys (sp) to just in case. He might be going through a growth spurt cause he's been eating like CRAZY!!!!! He normally eats about 8-10 times a day and he's been doing 12. I think it's been about 6 days now since he's been doing that. Not sleeping well either. He has been drooling a lot ( but always has ) to so I dont know If he's starting to teeth. A lot of people Ive read stories about said that around 3-4 months their lil systems start to change and seem to poop less. Im hoping thats just it.

Henry has always been a good pooper but we had horrible gas issues the first few months. Prune juice never did anything for him. Pear juice works well for us.
I hope he poops soon

Alice: There is a stomach bug going around -- it seems to have hit NY -- J.J had it last week. Must be heading up that way. It was 2.5 days of explosiveness.

Poor guy... good luck My 2nd ds wasn't pooping as a newborn and was jaundice so we REALLY had to get him to go. Pedi told me to use half of a suppository... I don't know if it was worse on me or him. The few times I did have to use it, just trying to get it in there seemed to get his muscles to work and make him poop.... nothing I ever want to have to do again though!

Awww poor little guy! Hopefully he'll poop soon! Cam went a week and half without pooping but he was really straining and it was even keeping him up at night it was so bad He was also a lot older and on solids. Stopping the solids made it better.

I've heard, but i just don't know how Teddy would get it. We never go anywhere, and he's never around other children. He doesn't go to daycare.

yeah for poop! the fact that it was all mushy and not hard....means he wasn't constipated...you may just have a slow pooper!
