I need to loose some serious weight (and afraid a tummy tuck is in my near future) I want a program thats easy to work with. I will be getting a gym membership next month. I know a few of you ladies have done it before - what do I do!? LOL!!

I don't know anything about the diet plans, but I have heard awesome things about the Couch to 5K system, which gets you from 100% unfit to able to run 3 miles in only 2 months, without any of the pain. I hear that the biggest problem with trying to exercise when you are unfit, is doing too much too soon and then, of course, you are miserable and don't want to do it anymore. I am definitely doing it as soon as the snow melts here (I don't have gym access).

See if you can find Emma (her username was TrannyfromtheUK). She's doing weight watchers and she has been losing steadily. She looks awesome!

Good luck!

I'm thinking about trying WW after baby. The Couch to 5K plan is also in my future.

I did WW after I lost my first baby. That, with going to the gym worked great and I lost the weight I put on within a few weeks. I am planning to do it again after this bubs arrives.

After you go to your first meeting, go home and write the points value of everything in your pantry! Makes it way easier when you are trying to work out the points for something you are baking/cooking.

The first week is also the hardest - after that, you get used to the portion sizes and how much food you can eat.

You've got me inspired to dust off all my WW stuff now! Once I get my head around being a Mummy, we can be WW buddies!

WW is awesome. i'm thinking of doing it after i have this baby if i end up with a bunch to lose. its a very healthy way to lose weight, i'm doing a nutrition class right now and it was cited as one of the 'good diets'! my friend had a tummy tuck after she had her twins, it looks awesome!

yes emma is a WW lady, and also shannon did it successfully too. you should have more good advice very soon!

So, I love weight watchers! If you follow it you WILL loose weight. Although there is no way to cheat. If you dont do it correctly dont expect to loose weight.

I am unsure what you are doing in America as over here we have just swapped to the new 'pro points' plan. All the old points system has gone out of the window and its slightly harder to explain over the computer.
However if you do WW I would recommend getting a 12 week planner and a calculator to work your points out. The calculator takes away all the faffing about trying to use the manual one you get for free.
Also, over here if you go to some drs they will give you a referal for weight watchers and you get 8 weeks free.

The website also has some wonderfull recipes on that are easy to follow and family friendly. I ALWAYS eat the same as Gary and Mia.

It was the best choice I ever made. If it was not for the slip up I had when Gary's gran died and things I would easily have lost over 3st by now.
I have been doing it since March and I have not once ever thought about giving up.

I do monthly pass -I am not sure if they have that over there but they take 20 pound (about $35) out of my account every month for my meeting membership & internet acsess to the message boards on the weight watchers site that I have found very helpfull for when I am feeling like i need support.

I would also reccomend if you go to a meeting STAY STAY STAY! I need to stay to my meetings to keep my self motivated!
Good Luck Beth! x

That gives me hope!! I bought some protein shake's today and will start using thoes as well as the weight watchers. the high protein diet helped a lot with my gestational diabetes, and lost about 4lbs total in the first 2 weeks, so Im hoping it will help out again.

Not sure if I can make the commitment to the $35 a month, as money is tight. when tax returns hit, I think Ill do a 6 month thing.
