When did your LO have their first haircut or when will your baby have their first haircut?
I started cutting Oliver's at around 4 months old. It looks funny being half dark brown and light blonde. The 18 month old I watch has never had a haircut and he has a mullet. It looks bad. The 13 month old I watch has her hair hanging in her eyes. She won't keep anything in her hair either. I feel bad that it's always sticking in her eyeballs and mouth. I know some feel sad cutting their babies hair and like to wait for a year or more.

We started at 8 months with just a trim. I trim his hair every 6 weeks now. The last time DH took him somewhere, he ended up with a very short cut I was not happy about.

I really do not remember! LOL. I know it is written down in his baby book so I am guessing before a year. I never let it get to were it was in his eyes though. Now he gets a cute once a month!

He was 15 or 16 months and it was really long! We look back at pictures and laugh because it was kinda bad but I was so sad to cut his curls off. Since then I've cut it once and taken him for one more haircut. I'd like to trim it up myself to save money but I'm afraid to! It was a harrowing experience last time!
He wasn't really good about his haircut last time (which I knew he wouldn't be) so he went to a kiddie place that was kind of expensive.

I had to start cutting Ian's hair at 4 months old. He was born with TONS of hair (Just like Bella had) it would get in his eyes and cause them to water. Now we just shave his head (not bald, but with peach fuzz) every other month or so, whenever I do hubby's, I do Ian's.

Seamus was 17mo, it was November 2007 when he had his first. My kids don't have a lot of hair at first I dont think Seamus needed it yet, his hair wasn't too long but my family kept saying it needed it so we did it. I hated it with how short we ended up having to go (we tried trimming but ended up buzzing it, he's never had a professional cut, I won't pay $15+ for him to scream and melt down, plus I dont have good luck with professionals cutting hair right).
Here was his before
.....
And after
......
Kieran, of course, hasn't had one yet, she really doesn't have enough hair to need it. Her bangs are starting to get in her eyes finally but, I don't want to cut it, I'm just going to brush them to the side.
And see Kieran doesn't need one yet(taken 12.29)...at least I dont think, she is a girl so she needs longer hair, especially since people still think she's a boy

He got a real quickie trim just around his ears at about 10 months old.
He REALLY needs a proper one now. No hair in his eyes, but he has a complete baby mullet.

Mia was around 18 months. She just needed it tidying up a bit as some bits were longer then others because of how it grew in.

I want to give Charlotte a trim in the back but DH won't let me! She has a mullet too. It is curly on top and would be curly in the back too, which would be fine, but her head is resting on something a lot which straightens it out in the back so it looks a lot longer even though the top is the longest. It is hard to manage in the back because of it... I really wish DH would let me trim it.

We took him to the barber when he was just a few days older than 1.
I'll probably cut his hair myself when he calms down some. Right now someone has to hold him and another has to distract him.

The boys were each about 15 months old. They didn't really *need* it but it wa getting long. Ian cuts their hair, we've never taken them anywhere. I like the boys to have short hair, they're actually both due for a trim now. Liam's hair grows a lot faster than Lochy's so he needs it cut more. Plus Lochy's hair lays nicely while Liam's tends to stick out everywhere so if we let it get too long he looks like a mushroom head. Lila won't need a cut anytime soon--she has very little hair. I will never cut bangs into her hair so I'll have to do my best to keep it out of her eyes when it gets long enough. She's generally good about keeping headbands on so it shouldn't be an issue. I'd like to grow her hair long so I doubt much cutting will happen.

I love bangs on little girls. If I ever have a girl she will bangs for sure. I've had bangs most of my life so maybe that is why I like them so much on little girls. I'm actually trying to grow Oliver's hair longish. Like the shaggy long look around the ears..

I like the before and after pics Anyone have any more of the first hair cut???
I'll have to see what I can find.
Curtis 17 months about
and after
AHH LOOK at him!!! He was SOOOO little hehe
And Dustin
after
He was 20 months. He just needed the curls off (booo so sad..) as they were really long and then a nice clean up on the top
Curtis has had his hair done professionally twice... but I now do it and prefer it to some extent. His hair grows SOOO fast... I would never pay to cut it for how often it needs to be done.

Reid was 15 months when we got his first haircut. He was BALD for a long time and we really only needed to cut it that soon because he was getting a mullet. haha. We now cut his hair about once a month

Haha Lani had a mullet. It got on my nerves because her hair only grew in the back. So I ended up trimming the back of her hair so that she just had a low cut. She's had the same amount of hair since birth but since her head has gotten bigger, her hair looks thinner

I always had bangs too and I didn't like them, they were always in the way. Plus I have a cowlick right in the front middle of my forehead so my bangs never laid straight and it looked bad. I always swore, cowlick or not, I would never cut bangs into my daughter's hair. I think they look really cute on other little girls though!

My son had his first hair cut at 3 months old.. He has LOTS of hair.. I think if I didn't cut it he would have hair half way down his back now..
He's only 14 months old and has had 5 hair cuts.. I cut his hair every 1-2 months. My DH does not want him to have long hair and I agree with him on it.. So fades is his style.. 1's on the sides and a trim on the top.. hehe But I think next time I'll get 0.5 on the sides just so his fade last a bit longer.. It just grows so darn fast it's ridiculous.

I should also mention - that Morgan has NEVER had her hair cut dry, its down to her butt Bella wont get hers cut either. If you stick with it, and just keep putting it up, the baby mullet goes away after a while lol
