My wonderful, loving, smiling, beautiful child logged into the app store in his iPod and downloaded $56 worth of apps with out me knowing.

I found out today when I called to get the balance on my child support debit card-----the state hasn't deposited it all yet so I was checking to see if they had. That's when I realized that it was about $40 less than it should be. Further investigation revealed a $39 charge yesterday. I called to have it reported stolen thinking someone had stolen the number since I didn't even go out yesterday.

My niece commented on the number of apps he has on his iPod and I told her most of them were free an the others I got him as rewards, etc.

THEN Matt commented on the increasing number asking what had happened and that's when it clicked. I just checked iTunes and there was the $39 yesterday and another $17 that still hasn't come out some of them we already had (like angry birds and musical bears) others we don't need (like camera stuff, it's a 3rd gen so it doesn't have a camera!) and others that are useless like a Gas MPG calc. or Madden NFL....Madden was $5.00, another was $10.00. I don't exactly have a spare $60 in cash to just throw away ya know?!

Call them...they may give you a one time freebie! I have to type in my password for every purchase....if he knows it change it! If he doesn't know it....figure out how he was able to order with no password?! Thats scary.

Lochy did that on facebook a while back. The computer apparently has my debit card information saved from when either I or dh ordered something and he was playing games and charged $15 before I saw what he was doing. I tried to refute it but they told me since I knew who it was who made the charges they wouldn't dismiss them. I thought that was pretty messed up, I guess anyone you know can just charge what they want to your card and you just have to deal with it.

They actually had a thing on the news about that here recently. Apparently, for 15 minutes after typing in your password, it stays stored and you can make as many purchases as you want in those 15 minutes.

Sam I think that is what happened. Either that or he watched me put in my password and remembered it. I am going to change it, and there's no way they'll refund them since they went straight to his iPod and he's played them and stuff since then. My mom laughed her butt off saying she knew it was bad, but it was so funny too. I'm standing there thinking yeah sure laugh that was a week's worth of groceries!!!!! He is just in a stage where no matter how many times I tell him no or stop he refuses to listen. He has a dr's appt tomorrow and I'm going to ask for suggestions on how to deal with that. Ripping my hair out so far isn't working.
