My bff is pregnant with her 2nd baby. She currently has a 4 1/2 year old boy. This pregnancy was a pleasant surprise to her and her hubby so they had gotten rid of a lot of the baby things they had when their first was about 3 years old. Today she found out she is having another boy. If she didnt live 14 hours away I wanted to plan a baby sprinkle or whatever they are called, because they are basically starting over. However the next time she will be up here is after the baby is born. I plan on getting her a few things anyways since this will be my godson.
I really dont want to get her "junk" so I would love some suggestions on what to get for her and/or baby. She plans on bfing and using sposies if that helps.
*Again, she lives 14 hours away so I either need to be able to ship it, take it on a plane, or it will have to wait until she come home for my wedding (baby will be approx 5 months old)
TIA

Maybe offer to buy her a changing table and supply's for the first few weeks? Or offer to get her a glider with ottoman? Things I wish other's had bought for me but had to get on my own. Maybe even offer to buy her a breast pump. Or hire someone to come out and help her BF at home for the first couple days? Not sure what price range your looking at, so just throwing out suggestions. I saw the name on FB, super cute

I really dont have a set price range. I do know that for his Christening I'll be getting him a large savings bond. This gift will just be because. She has already picked out the car seat, stroller, pack n play, etc.. I am thinking prob some little things and maybe 1 big thing.

Do you think she would use a baby carrier? Ergo or Beco would be nice. A couple small things that come to mind are the miracle blanket and Sophie Giraffe teether. What about a newborn photoshoot? That might be a bit pricy but something that would last a life time.

We are so on the same wave length! I was just looking at a miracle blanket and a sophie giraffe as part of the gift! I'll have to feel around about a carrier. She didnt use one with her first because he HATED it! A photoshoot would be great! I wonder if I could ask my wedding photographer about doing it while they are here for the 2 weeks before and after my wedding. He takes great baby photos!

I hear the woombies are amazing! We sell out of them really fast at the shop I work at. Could be a nice addition to the gift.

maybe a glider chair? dh got me one and i'm like THE MOST excited about it ever.
the glider/recliner is extremely comfy and compact in that you dont need to have the footstool thingy cuz the footrest just kicks out. i bet you could get them WAY cheaper in the states than what i paid for mine too, u guys get way better selection of stuff

I didn't care for the miracle blanket but I really want to try the woombie next time!
Some other thoughts - boppy, nipple cream, crib bedding (if she tells you what kind she wants)

I really like the idea of a photo shoot. That's something pretty special.
Smaller gifts: Robeez soft soled booties, boppy, minky blanket??
(I personally would stay away from swaddles and things like that. Each baby is such an individual as to what they like and you won't know until the baby arrives. I know my LO would never accept a swaddle or woombie and would only do sleep sacks.)
